Here's something different, going to try to mix up the theme on my page a little. @sincerelysarese encouraged me to share a bit about myself with her #truthbetold idea, so here we go 😅 I'm not the greatest at sharing stuff, unless it's hidden behind metaphors and in hushed tones 🤐 Anyways, my name is Zach. I'm 21 years old, that seems to surprise and disappoint a lot of people but there it is 😅 I live and grew up in Arizona, US 🔥 I can be pretty emotional and sensitive, growing up in a broken family has a lot of side effects but there can be some blessings that come along the way ☺ Against popular taste, I openly enjoy country music 😍 Growing up partly on a farm did it and I wouldn't take it back for anything 🐐 I'm not really into sports, despite getting asked nearly daily if I play basketball 😩 I enjoy drawing, and started painting some a few months ago although I'm not nearly as good at it as I am at sketching 😂 I didn't start writing until a few short years ago, but I've always spent a lot of time in my head, so it was just a matter of learning how to get it on paper 😉 I like action movies, superhero movies are also 👌 but a little secret... I actually really like romantic movies 😶 I guess it comes with being a hopeless romantic 🙃 I love the beach, even though I don't go as much as I'd like to anymore 🌊 Long drives with the radio playing is such a unique experience, not always the best idea, emotionally speaking but what fully is? Flowers... yes I am a man that does enjoy writing about flowers, drawing them is also really relaxing too 🌺 I'm currently studying psychology in college 🤗 Well working my way there, still on my core classes 😣 I'm definitely a morning person 🌻 I worked nightshift for 7months once, and I hated sleeping during the day and missing everything ⛺ but yes, I do sometimes stay up all night still and sleep in. I'm only human, right 🤕 favorite color is green 💚 Alright I can't think of much more on the spot 😂 Ask me some stuff below if you want to know more, and let me know what you think about the background change 😁❤

She always dreamed
who would stand by her side,
turning the pages
while she was playing,
conjuring up thousands
of sparkling colors and
wishing for a different world
where the music would never stop.

I want to say something that I think will be controversial to some of my fellow citizens that think we should shut our borders to everyone. I’m sad that we as humans do not get universal citizenship. More than ever, I am grateful to have the benefits of being American. But I pray for my country and the inhumanity we’ve seen recently. So I have an open letter to immigrant parents and parents in general. I thank you for sacrificing so much so your children can have a better world. I thank you for risking it all to come to our country so that your children can grow up with better opportunities. My fellow countrymen may not thank you, but I thank you. And I thank you parents who work tirelessly, withhold from yourselves, give up your desires, so that your children may see and have the life you couldn’t. You are selfless and you are brave. I love and commend you for your efforts. .
I hear hope in your
Because the pounding
of the earth
is coming from the mountain.
You are climbing,
so at the top
you can shout out “Take my hand,
I will pull you up
next to me.”

Symbols of faith, Signals of persecution
Bridge to divine, schism marks a nation
Hoard of cap, cloak, cloth and more
My god shouldn't define me anymore But
Way of prayer or to whom you pray
Trails a stare of caution, towards your way
My sacred is more, your pious is less
Race of bigotry, in the name of nameless
From doors to borders, seeps the curse
Where abhor is long, compassion is terse
My name carries the scroll of sentence
Judgement is foretold, mercy is pittance
Religion runs the ruins of humanity
Calling demons to exorcise sanity
Faithful zealots lusting for death
Creation to kill, in a single breath
Sage of Theo guide the fair of unfair
Profanity of other, charade of despair
Language of despise rule the roost of glib
Pupil of detest, inking red with nib
Veil of faith to the mask of suspicion
No end in sight, No peace in vision
Threads of pure to the noose of impiety
When hate is religion, in pursue of deity.
With all different kind of discrimination carving cracks in this world, few things are common among them. Most of the times, all these are triggered through lack of knowledge, which in turn gives way to intolerance and then hate. Hate culture is a vicious cycle which keep on perpetuating through generation and ages
Once hate is sown, you no longer require external stimuli such as state sanctioned persecution. It's a curse which runs it course until annihilation or a miraculous self realisation. These are difficult times and the least we can do is to start a discussion. That is also the reason, I have not mentioned any solution per say to challenge religious hatred and bigotry. Ideas are always carried through will of people and open hearted discussion. This is a small attempt for the same.
