☀️ Neck Pull ☀️ Is an advanced mat pilates exercise aimed at strengthening the abdominals, as well as stretching the hamstrings, back and neck extensors ⚠️ The thing is, it’s hard, and the temptation to pull on the neck (which you really shouldn’t, even though that’s the name) is strong. ✅ Using the straps around your arms, helps maintain the length in your spine as you hinge backwards, as well as giving some support before the curl. ▪️This is a game changer for me - the resistance from the straps help me feel braver about hinging backward and staying lengthened from my head to my seat - I use my core for longer and more efficiently ▪️ On the roll up, the straps offer assistance for smoother movement and help with the two way pull as you round through your back▪️Be sure NOT to pull yourself forward with your neck.
