Today I tested out the motors to see what speeds we could expect. It ended being around 220 rpm at 24v. I also decided apon what motor controllers to use. I won’t be able to get the controllers for 2 weeks so, I’m going finish the cad and the hardware mounting in the meantime #autonomous#robtics#thefuture#selftaught#arduino
This is a little project I did a few months ago: I bought this Newton keyboard at an electronics flea market, and converted it to a USB one with the help of Arduino and QMK firmware.
The keyboard has a serial connection, so wiring was pretty straightforward. The keyboard has a barely noticeable green tint, so it looks great with a braided dark olive USB cable.
Though it’s not a mechanical keyboard, it has a nice feel to it. The keys themselves are smaller (the last picture shows it in comparison with a TKL keyboard with standard key pitch), but it is a great portable keyboard overall.
Slowly making progress on my Wifi weather station project. The temperature/humidity hardware is now connected wirelessly to my home network and can be read from any browser connected to our router... so at this time it's purely local.
One of the challenges has been to send html code to a web browser client by using the C-language code that the wifi module understands. I'm pretty conversant with C-language and HTML, but have never combined the two. The screen in the photo required reading and interpreting the temperature/humidity sensor using C-language, then massaging that data into a form that a web browser could understand. Pheww!
The photo shows the sensor, the wifi module, and the web browser screen. That's the easy part. It's the 250 lines of coding that makes it all work. Lots of work, but it keeps me off the streets!
I did get 18 holes of golf in this morning though!
