Possibly the best way to wake up on a Monday morning! This morning I woke up to the delicious smell of apple pie wafting its way up my stairs. I can see these Slow Cooked Apple Pie Oats fast become my new favourite brekkie. Mornings usually look like a manic rush in my house. I fly around the house in a frenzy trying to get myself and two kids ready for the day ahead. Get dressed! Clean your teeth! No you can't wear that! Just eat your breakfast! Just put your bloody shoes on! This is the soundtrack to the start of my day. But, this morning was different, first of all I woke up easier, it's much easier to drag yourself out of bed when you can smell your breakfast cooking downstairs. Secondly, breakfast was all done and waiting for us, piping hot and ready to be dished out so there was no waiting for the toast to pop up, no demanding 'I'm hungry' from the kids as you frantically whip up something for them. Perfect! One less thing to think about.
What You Need: Serves 2-3
1 Medium Apple Chopped
25g Vanilla Protein Powder
1 Cup (250ml) Milk of your choosing I used Soy
1.5 Cup (375ml) Water
Pinch of Nutmeg
Pinch of Allspice
What You Need to Do:
Chuck all the ingredients in your slow cooker and mix.
Turn your slow cooker on low before you go to bed.
Wake up and enjoy!
