Flufftastic snowman pancakes - I pretty much only maintain the sourdough starter for the discard at the moment 🙈 (1 cup discarded starter, 1 cup GF plain flour, 1 cup ‘milk’, 1 small banana & 1 tbsp flaxseed blended up with 1tsp bicarb just before cooking)
I hope you have seen yesterday’s post. I had asked to guess the leaves. Most of them got it right. yay!!!!! Moringa leaves are one of our favorite leafy veggies. In this picture I am holding drumsticks which comes from the same moringa tree. We add this in many side dishes. Have you tasted drumsticks? .
BTW, these are also from my cousin’s place in Dubai 😊

Constantine vs The People
Exhibit 1: Roasted 🍠 and Fresh Figs was 🤤. The sweetness from the potatoes and figs were balanced by the goat cheese, spices and sauce used. This is a best seller & for very good reason.
Exhibit 2: Mezze Plates with flatbread is the typical Middle Eastern appetizer & they executed it perfectly. The labneh was as creamy as any self-respecting labneh should be, the amount of walnuts in the mouhammara was 👌🏼 & the 🌶-level was not too spicy not too boring. As much as I respect the addition of the pomegranates to the “moutabal” I must say I’ve tasted better .The flatbread was so warm and I LOVED the addition of zaatar.
Exhibit 3: The Cavatelli “alla Milanese” 😍 was perfectly el dente & the addition of saffron to the tomato sauce was genius. However, if you did not get a piece of braised beef rib with each spoonful, the flavors taste bland.
Exhibit 4: Beverly Creek Farms Lamb 🍔 = SO interesting! Let’s start with the burger itself, the combination of harissa with feta and lamb patty was flawless. The spices on those thick wedges took my taste buds straight to heaven. The Israeli salad is no ordinary salad my friend. I’m at a loss of adjectives but I think I’ll settle for decadent AF.
Sentencing: First of all, the authentic Middle Eastern inspired recipes are on point and for the first time I am not IRATE when leaving a middle eastern restaurant. The restaurant itself is BEAUTIFUL and I recommend sitting at the bar and watching the chefs cook.

No more words needed, parole e foto del piatto di @mimmamug 💗
Low Carb Healthy Coconut Pancakes 🥞
This batch makes 8 pancakes about 4 inches in diameter.
Dry ingredients - 1/2 a cup of organic coconut flour - 1/4 of shredded unsweetened coconut -1 tsp of baking powder -2 packets of stevia
Wet ingredients -4 eggs -1 tsp of coconut oil
-1 tsp of vanilla extract - a little over 1/4 of a cup of unsweetened coconut milk
Mix all dry ingredients together. Mix all wet ingredients together. Then mix both dry and wet together. I used a crepe pan to make the pancakes. Spray or add a little bit of coconut oil on the pan every couple of pancakes. Start off on medium low & adjust to low depending how you see how well the pancakes are cooking on the pan you are using. I started off at medium low and changed to low.
To top off the coconut pancakes I used Sweetened Coconut Condensed Milk! @eat.with.steph
I bought all ingredients from @sprouts
WARNING: THIS BAR IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART
@conexionchocolate’s 100% chocolate bar truly embodies the spirit of slow food. you can’t rush eating it...you need to eat it slowly. made with fine ecuadorian beans, it cools your mouth [it’s been so well-tempered!] and snaps beautifully. this virgin bar hasn’t been roasted, and it smells so wonderfully wild, so feral, so very much like cacao at its most real
with ecuadorian cacao’s trademark velvety texture, this chocolate glides across your palate, diffuses into a complex pattern of multilayered flavours, kisses your senses in a spectacular, savoury collision of soy and balsamic vinegar and young wine
rich, brimming with personality, and textured with strong, unapologetic flavours, we only recommend it to people who really enjoy dark chocolate and want to expose their palate to the next level of cacao appreciation
the 70% is far more palatable for the newly converted to craft chocolate. with no bitter in its bite, this bright bar brings you glad tidings of red fruit, fresh currants, and round, ripe berries dripping with raw sweetness. it peaks on a sharp bright high and mellows into a lovely, sun-dried fruitiness. absolutely delicious, absolutely crafted for slow, slow savouring
depending on your mood and palate, either would make the perfect christmas companion
which will YOU choose this christmas?

Receiving my very first Christmas hamper meant I couldn’t not celebrate. Had the most spoiling elevenses this morning enjoying organic Prosecco, a wonderful pannetone which was pillowy and buttery AND vegan (so impressive), rich chocolately truffles and proper mince pies. All washed down with some good strong coffee. I’m saving the cheese straws and Stilton for when I head home to my family and am going to drizzle truffle oil on my supper. Feeling full of joy from my wonderful @wholefoodsuk hamper. For anyone stuck with last minute Christmas shopping - get a hamper! They are packed full of festive joy.
SOLD OUT of pierogis in the first 45 min — but I’ve got plenty of Russian beet “vinaigrette” salad & chocolate/walnut babka knots left! Thank you so much, Portland and @_rose_foods_! 🙏🏻❤️
