I have not been able to find one of these babes so I broke down and ordered some #plantmail before the growing season is over. She has popped back to life so wonderfully in the couple weeks I've had her, plus she's giving some new growth like 'haaay I don't care it's almost Halloween look at me!' Cross it off the wishlist! 🍉🍃✔
Look away young plants, this is some serious #rootporn 😳
This summer I bought taro bulbs at a local Asian shop (check my post from back then). Eventually, one survived, rooted and gave 3 colocasia plants. This is the biggest one 🙈 Not yet big but the roots are doing fine! Perfect for #happyrootstuesday
Any of you ever tried to grow colocasia or alocasia from a bulb? (or tuber? I don't know the difference 😄)
Monstera first came into fashion in the 1950s when they were used to add greenery to the Eames House – a landmark of mid 20th century modern architecture. The house also happens to live in our next Floom city! Click the link in our bio to be the first to know when we launch.
Variegation baby 😎
Buuuuut it's not all roses! I totally embrace #plantstagramvsreality (created by @soiledplanties ) I've got this Monstera standleyana for a few weeks now. It suddenly had a browning leaf (the all-white one, weeeeh 😭). Might be the overwatering from the nursery or the underwatering at my place 😬
Anyway, that's why the second, badly-lit photo is added. This plant isn't perfect 😊 Keep it real ✌️
