Today in 1988 House of Lords released their debut self titled album. The band was a spin off group for keyboardist Gregg Giuffria and his band of the Giuffria broke up. Kiss bassist Gene Simmons signed HOL to his own label and the LP was distributed by RCA. It peaked at number 78 on the Billboard charts and featured the talents of Cheap Trick guitarist, Rick Nielsen, Talisman’s Jeff Scott Soto, Stan Bush, Johnny Warman and Mandy Meyer of Asia. It featured the singles I Want to be Loved and Love Don’t Lie.
