Dining room schemes currently on the table. A mix of existing (plain linen chair covers, brass hardware and beloved bird prints), and new (3 ticking fabric options for curtains, fresh green paint narrowed down to two shades, sisal carpet). Hard to chose which scheme I like best as I really do love them all! This is where the mirror I’m stripping back to it’s original gilding will also hang. While I absolutely love the use of patterned textiles such as beautiful printed linens, they can be really expensive. Most of us have other priorities such as children to raise and educate, and for some the drought to contend with, and therefore it’s important to keep a lid on decorating costs. So with at least 16m of curtain fabric required in this case, ticking is a classic and inexpensive choice that never goes in or out of fashion. Textiles with more pattern can come in the way of lamp shades, cushions, and / or tablecloths in this room. I’m also keen, where possible, to incorporate what we already have and second hand purchases (such as the mirror and our chairs) or inherited pieces which are loved and meaningful. Decorating does not need to be highly expensive to be good, and I am always happy to help guide clients with this in mind. Let’s keep it real. #interiordecorating#interiordesign#tickingfabric#sisalcarpet#greenpaint#brasshardware#antiquebrasshardware#birdprints#usewhatyouhave#keepingitreal#textileandtwig
There is a distinct possibility I may be in love with this bag..... I'm certainly going to find it hard to post to its forever home ☹ keep posted for the finished product 🤗 I may, or may not have forgotten to open the zips while I stitched the whole outside, and may have had to unpick the side to open said zips 🙄🤭
My new kitchen display is going into my showroom and I’m loving it! I chose greige wall cabinets and a matte black island. Antique brass hardware is my ‘jewelry’ of choice to adorn these beautiful cabinets. I cannot wait to get this finished! I wanted to show my clients there’s more out there than your typical white kitchen. This is going to be eye candy for sure when I get done with it! #kitchendesign#greigecabinets#blackmatteisland#antiquebrasshardware#moderntraditional
