I swear my QL’s (lower back muscles going from lower ribs to pelvis) are the tightest of anyone’s I’ve ever felt 😫😂😐😬 could this be the biggest reason for that rib on the left side coming out of place? PROBABLY 😫😫
Ok friends, best ways to help loosen this!? Currently I see the chiro, foam roll nearly everyday (if not, every other - pretty much entire body), massage, cupping, stretching (granted - I could be implanting more yoga which is my next game plan), PT... anti inflammatory teas... I’m not sure if I can think of anything else 🤔
Ok suggestions please! 🙏🙏🙏💜❣️
Thank you ✨😘
Who suffers from pain?! Not so fun fact about me— I’m always in pain. My neck, back (even after my surgery 😔), hips, now even my thumbs. This is the reason why I try and eat healthy whole foods (that don’t cause inflammation!) and why my body needs strong muscles to support some crappy joints/bones. Rather than loading my body with medications- I have introduced a number of things, including this tea into my routine to help minimize inflammation and joint pain! It’s pretty tasty too :) 1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon of tumeric, cinnamon and ground ginger
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Grade A honey if you need some sweetener.
If the pain is really bad, add whiskey 🙃 #Kidding#notKidding
Back from walking the pup in the freezing rain and ready to sit down with a warming cup of golden milk! Check out my story for how I made it, and if you want to try Further Food's fantastic Daily Turmeric Tonic, hit the link in my profile for a discount. :)
Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to conquer the day!
Sometimes after a weekend you might feel you need a good gut cleanse to start the week off right. Here's a tea that sounds like it will do the trick! #antiinflammatorytea
Chronic inflammation will produce disease. So eating a diet low in inflammatory foods is key. But sometimes you need a little extra. I make a nice anti-inflammatory drink which helps when I need to bring down the inflammation even more. Tastes yummy too.
4 cups of water
Turmeric root 2-3 inches long, peeled and chopped or two tablespoons of dried turmeric
Ginger root 2-3 inches peeled and chopped
Juice of two lemons🍋
Honey to taste (not too much 😄) Boil water turmeric and ginger for 20 minutes. Strain and add lemon juice and honey to water. I like mine chilled. I drink two glasses a day. #nutritioncoach#nutritioncoachkerri#nutrionist#turmeric#ginger#antiinflammatorytea#antiinflammatoryfoods
Sipping on this tonight while I catch up on work. Achy joints need extra attention! It’s soothing and immune boosting! Drinking it before bed actually helps you have a more restful sleep while boosting your immunity while you sleep.

The secret spice actually is the curcumin in the turmeric that has numerous health benefits. Curcumin has been extensively studied. It has shown benefits to support digestion as well as alleviate inflammation in your digestion system. boost immunity, reduce inflammation due to osteoarthritis to name a few and has numerous studies in reduction in many types of cancer. 🔅 🔅 🔅
Too many benefits not to include this in your diet several times a week! Tonight I used cashew milk but I you can use any non-dairy milk such as almond or coconut or any combo of them both.

To get the full benefits of curcumin make sure you add black pepper and a healthy fat for better absorption plus the fat will help you sleep more soundly!
Been fighting a cold all week (sore throat, brutal headaches, low energy) and I'm pretty sure the two beers I had last night didn't help 🙈. It's all about balance though, right? 😉. Anyway, I thought I'd start today off right and try to kick this bug before it really kicks my a$$. .
I started my morning with a double dose of warm lemon water and then followed it with this turmeric & ginger tea latte. Both ginger and turmeric are potent anti-inflammatories and help fight disease in the body. .
To make this tea, simply add the following ingredients to a high speed blender and blend for about a minute.
What you need: 2 cups boiling water, an inch of fresh turmeric root (peeled), 2 inches fresh ginger root (peeled), a half teaspoon of ground cinnamon, a half cup of your favourite nut milk (I used coconut), a tablespoon of coconut oil and a teaspoon of raw honey 🍯. I got this recipe from the @joyoushealth blog - it's easy to make, delicious and suuuuper healthy. This is a great tea to drink, not only when you're sick but as an everyday, health boosting treat! .

I cold steep all three together overnight and then drink in the morning with a dash of lemon juice. Both steps maximize the anti-oxidant power of the green and white teas.

Turmeric has long been known in ayurvedic medicine as a powerful spice with antiinflammatory and antioxidative properties. Excelent when added to a fresh brew of Tuwawi's Restoration Blend topping off all the warming chai spices. Sprinkle and stir in some black pepper too to activate the turmeric. This TURMERIC ELIXIR is so good! Add 1.5 cups of hot coconut milk to your blender (simply heat on stove), then add in: 1 tsp ground turmeric, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ginger, 1 tbsp sunflower lecithin, 1 tbsp Collagen, pinch of sea salt. Blend together, pour into your favorite mug, do a little dance and enjoy! 👌You can sweeten it with some raw honey, but I found it just perfect without the added sugar. *
This amazing elixir contains anti-inflammatory properties, supports blood sugar, energy, detoxes the liver and fuels your brain. #turmericelixir#healingtea
