Stuffed sweet potatoes, y’all. I mean, need I say more? 🍠🥑🙌🏻 Who’s with me? 🙋🏼♀️ Sweet potatoes are nutrient-dense & a source of healthy carbohydrates. These are stuffed with sautéed turkey, peppers, onion, zucchini, & mushrooms. We enjoyed these bad boys topped with lots of cilantro, guacamole, & @primalkitchenfoods dairy-free ranch with a side of sautéed greens. 🌿🍅
You may have noticed in my stories that I used a smaller bowl than my husband. I also had 1/2 of a sweet potato, as opposed to his whole one. We have different carbohydrate needs, so that’s why you see the differences reflected in our meals. There is a way to cook for the whole family while adjusting for specific needs. And, this is just one way to do so! 🤗
Are stuffed sweet potatoes a regular in your home? If so, share your ideas for stuffing options & toppings below! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
Always on the lookout of something new to use up a good supply of courgettes and marrows from allotment.
This is an Asian style creamy vegetable coconut soup with some chickpeas . I m not so organised to have homemade stock at hand so I opted to use little water and a can of coconut milk.
I roasted 4 medium carrots with a yellow pepper and a red onion. Sautéed 1 large white onion ,adding in a small chopped marrow, 2 handfuls of green beans,3 cloves of garlic,a large thumb of ginger, herb salt, chilli flakes ,cumin, coriander powder and turmeric powder. 1 cup of water. Stir on medium for 15 mins add in half can of chick peas and the roasted vegetables. Blend with a stick blender , add remaining chick peas and leave for another 5 mins. Garnish with coriander.
No need to add much water as the marrow releases quite a lot. Plenty of flavour without a stock and very filling.
I often recommend non-cow cheeses as I think that the different protein structure in them can be much easier to digest for many people and often they are less processed too. And they just sort of ‘go’ with vegetables and olive oil like buffalo mozzarella (my favourite). A lump of good old cheddar just isn’t the same. This is griddled haloumi and courgettes from my friends garden on a bed of her rocket too. With a simple olive oil dressing it was a perfect lunch. (Oops I may be falling into ‘Waitrose’ territory here but there we are😳). For supper I would add a tomato and onion salad and a small baked sweet potato. Loads of colourful antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and good protein, fresh and simple. Mediterranean diet- perfect fertility food. #ttc#tryingtoconceive#fertility#infertility#fertilitydiet#infertilitydiet#mediterraneandiet#mediterraneandish#antioxidants#antiinflammatory#antiinflammatorydiet#ivf#ivfdiet#ivficsi
Sweet potato chips with rosemary and a sprinkle of salt. These were really tasty with my homemade fish fingers, peas, and mange tout.
Sweet potatoes are rich in beta carotene which is an antioxidant, and also a precursor to vitamin A. Vitamin A is essential for cell growth, our eye health and general immunity.
They are also rich in fibre which helps feed the microbes in our gut to keep us healthy.

Aluminum is one of the most pervasive heavy metals and can easily accumulate, resulting in nervous system damage (MS & ALS), disruption of proper DNA replication, and neurological issues such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and dementia.
The reason aluminum has become such a big issue is because it’s found commonly in anti-perspirant deodorant, cosmetics, vaccines (as an adjuvant), cans, dental work, cookware, and even tap water.
The big problem with heavy metals is that they like to deposit themselves in our fat tissue, and our brain is mostly made up of fat! Overtime, these heavy metals build up and slowly poison us from within.
The solution? Opt for ceramic cookware for reheating or use parchment paper that is compostable, unbleached, and chlorine-free 👍🏼
The rest is a great message by @organic_olivia!
When I stopped using a microwave, I started heating things up in the oven via aluminum foil. While it was convenient, it was NOT much better for my health!🤦🏼♀️
Case in point: A 2011 study published in the International Journal of Electrochemical Science found that heat, even in small amounts, causes aluminum from foil to leach into our food in significantly harmful amounts.😳 The researchers found dangerously high levels of aluminum in foods after being cooked, reheated, and even cooled on aluminum foil.👎🏽
“The higher the temperature, the more the leaching. Foil is not suitable for cooking and is not suitable for using with vegetables like tomatoes, citrus juice or spices.” - Dr. Zubaidy, study author🔥
Another study found that red meats cooked in aluminum foil showed an increase in aluminum content by anywhere from 89% to 378%!❌
As with many toxins, it isn't one exposure here and there that is so concerning — it's the cumulative effect of many smaller exposures over time that can lead to a toxic metal overload and chronic illness. We are ALREADY exposed to aluminum from other sources - especially those of us who live in industrial areas.☢️
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ I ate two vegan muffins which I made by myself before and froze. Then I made a green smoothie with kales, banana, two strawberries, and cinnamon powder.
Kale is known as a super food that packs in the protein, vitamins A, C and K as well as minerals, including potassium, calcium, thiamin, riboflavin and iron. It’s also effective for detox your body because it’s rich of fiber and chlorophyll.
Kale has one of the highest levels of antioxidants of any vegetables and can help reduce inflammation, lower cholesterol and detox the liver.Chewing on many veggies everyday may be too troublesome for some, so making green smoothie can be an attractive alternative to get the benefits of food easily. Most of green veggies detoxes the liver, flushes out the intestines and cleanses the blood because they include chlorophyll. The high chlorophyll content in kale makes it especially healing to the blood. When the blood is healthy and flowing well, toxins in your body can be eliminated. Charcoal also has a effect to remove toxins and harmful metal from your body but it’s not common here to use charcoal for detox. Please blend well 🍌🍓☘️🍀so that the chlorophyll will absorb all your bad toxins from your body and you can also intake good nutrition at the same time. If you don’t have time in the morning, you can use matcha powder 🍵or young barley leaf power as an alternative. Please find organic and good quality one. I recommend made in Japan products because you can recognize how the quality is good and taste good when you compare with other cheaper green powder( ^ω^ )
