1/2 cup cashews (soaked for 6-8 hours)
1/4 cup of extra firm tofu
1/4 cup basil leaves
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
Pinch of salt
A few drops of lemon
How to make:
Add cashews, basil, and tofu to a food processor and blend when cashews are chopped finely. Then add olive oil slowly while grinding and chopping in food processor. Don't chop the cashews into a butter. When the mixture has all the lemon and olive oil add the garlic powder and pinch of salt. Boil some pasta and mix in some of the pesto. ⭐️ You can also serve as a dip. All you would do is keep it thicker and serve with crackers.
when it comes to speaking to humans, I sometimes lose hope 💔 in terms of activism and protests, I’m used to being part of a minority, part of a small collection of people who care about something the human world shrugs off and smothers out. but with being at events such as pride and the anti-trump rally this week, it’s been so surreal to see the city alive with impassioned people - though it’s brought the animal rights movement’s lack of public backing into an even starker reality.
even though animal activism is probably the area I feel most experienced in and familiar with, I am always learning and developing in other fights. veganism isn’t a matter of perfectionism, elitism or purity, veganism belongs to everyone and is something everyone already has a major role in, whether they want to or not. don’t be afraid to ask questions, don’t be afraid to change your opinions and don’t be afraid to grow into a person you never expected to become ⚒🖤
I LIVED MY LIFE FOR OTHERS
I was vegan for 2 years. Very strict, super rigid and very vocal about it. Most people still think I’m vegan. I was scared to share that I have added some animal proteins back into my diet because of what others would think.
I would never share on social that I was eating animal products because I didn’t want to lose followers or offend anyone. This was so damaging to my inner dialogue and self compassion.
Now I know what you’re thinking... you’re wearing an Anti Dairy Social Club sweatshirt Paul. Yes, I am, and here’s the thing... I kind of am anti dairy because every single client I’ve worked with has THRIVED when they eliminated it. Also, I HAVE THRIVED since eliminating it.
If there’s anything I have learned from the process of coming out as an ex vegan is that it was almost as scary as coming out as gay. I mean, I might be exaggerating a smidge but real talk when worrying about what others think the struggle gets very intense.
So here it goes... I’m a LIKE-ATARIAN people, I eat what I like and that happens to not include dairy. Ya feel?

You can also replace almond with another nut (or seed) of your choice! 🌱 (add a Tablespoon of chia or hemp seeds to add some healthy omega fats and other nutrients) Do you make your own homemade plant based milk?

Such a fantastic day doing seeing the @nottinghamanimalrights vegan outreach stall with Virtual Reality headsets 19 people either watched one entire video or all three, it is powerful hard hitting activism, that literally turned two guys turning up eating Mc Donald's, to angry and ashamed at the way we treat animals and changing the way the think about what they eat. It only takes one instance like today to plant the seed that grows quickly! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to help in anyway they could, every bit makes a difference.
We also did some freestyle outreach and Vego bar challenges after!
Thanks so much to the Notts AR crew 😎❤💪✌
