Kuleana is a Hawaiian value and practice which means "one's personal sense of responsibility." The word kuleana refers to a reciprocal relationship between the person who is responsible, and the thing to which they are responsible for.
Hawaiians have a kuleana to the environment, to care for it and to respect it, and in return, earth has the kuleana to give us life; to feed, shelter and clothe us. It is through this relationship that we maintain a balance within mankind and our natural environment.

An Incovenient Sequel: Truth to Power
I got the privilege to watch this astonishing documentary. It's predecessor (An Inconvenient Truth) back 2006 made an impact to me when I was in my freshman year in college back from the Philippines. We had conversations at our school after we saw the film. Now 10 years have past and we are moving to green and renewable energies. With all these progress, you think we've learnt it all and still discovering more for a better future for the next generation to come. Then there's the current US President... Not acknowledging that these current events (extreme weather changes, super hurricanes, high tides that are off the records, countless lives taken by these natural calamities) points to global warming is just disheartening. The more we know about it, the better we, as a steward of this earth, learn about it.
You can visit their website and follow them @aninconvenienttruth. I pledged to #BeInconvenient .
