from @fivesechealth ~ tapioca flour is the same as tapioca starch and should be found in any health store 💛
RECIPE (2 ppl):
* 400 grams yellow potatoes
For the cheese sauce
* 1/4 cup cashews, soaked
* 1/2 cup plant milk (I used soy milk)
* 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
* 1 1/2 tbsp tapioca flour
* 1 tsp lemon juice
* 1/2 tsp sea salt
* 1/4 tsp onion powder
* 1/4 tsp turmeric, ground
For the beans
* 400 grams crushed tomatoes
* 220 grams black beans, drained
* 1 tbsp cumin
* 1 tbsp chili powder
* 1/2 tsp sea salt
For the topping
* 1/2 red onion
* 1/2 cup coriander (cilantro)
* 1/2 cup korn kernels
* 1/2 cup coconut yogurt
1. Preheat the oven to 200C/392F and boil the cashew nuts in water for 10 minutes
2. Wash and thinly slice the potatoes, put the slices on a baking pan covered in parchment paper, let them bake for 15-20 minutes or until soft and brownish on the outside
3. Make the cheese sauce by combining all of these ingredients in a blender (or use a handmixer), and blend until smooth
4. Transfer the cheese sauce to a saucepan on medium heat
5. Whisk the cheese sauce frequently until it thickens, don’t let it thicken too much (see video), set aside
6. Don’t forget to check your potatoes!
7. Now make the beans by combining all of those ingredients in a pan, let it simmer for 5 minutes, set aside
8. When the potatoes and beans are done, it’s time to assemble!
9. Place a layer of potato chips on one or two plates, then add an unevenly layer of beans, then the onion, korn, cilantro and lastly the cheese sauce and coconut yogrt!

GEORGE’S STORY: IS TASTE MORE IMPORTANT THAN A LIFE?
This is the story of a beautiful pig we met at Tideford Abattoir in Devon. We have named him George.
George will shortly be going to slaughter. In fact by the time some of you see this video, George will already be gone.
His fate will see him electrocuted and his throat slit, before being chopped into pieces so people can consume his flesh.
- Is the taste of George’s flesh worth more than his life?
- Could his death have been avoided?
- Can we really justify the killing of an animal like George for something we don’t even need?
PLEASE SHARE George’s story and let us know what you think below.
Animals like George can have a better future, if we all just change what’s on our dinner plates.
Choose kindness <3
// Try the 22 day vegan challenge
// Help support our work
Note: We kindly ask that no hate or abuse is directed to any of the workers of this slaughterhouse. We at Virtue truly believe that 99% of people are good people deep down and have just yet to connect to the reality of what is happening. Most people have been bought up into this world to see these actions as normal; and through no fault of their own. This isn’t to excuse these actions in any way, this MUST stop, but only through love, kindness and compassion will we truly break the conditioning that we believe is the root of the problem. Thank you x
Having a glass of fresh celery juice😋
This is such a marvelous little plant with soo many benefits. You can reduce your risk of osteoporosis, arthritis and many other diseases that are linked to the inflammation of muscles, tendons and other parts of the body. This is because celery is full of both polyacetylenes and luteolin, both proven to reduce inflammation.
It's full of antioxidants, which aren’t lost in the juicing process. Antioxidants that fight against free radicals in the body, which have been blamed for various types of cancer. There is research that has shown, that there are other anti-cancerous health benefits of celery juice.
The formation of stomach and colon cancer is hindered from the phytochemical coumarins in the vegetable.
One glass a day can help you fight against cancer for the rest of your life.
Since it is an alkaline based plant it can also help to prevent acid-reflux, by restoring the pH levels in your body. As your pH becomes more balanced, you will find that your hair looks shinier and feels healthier than ever before.
It will also mproves kidney and bowel function and help cleanse your system.
Celery can definitely help with obesity since it is low in calories. So low in fact that it takes more calories to digest than you gain from it, although you do need to watch the dips you pair it with!
When juiced especially, it gives off more delicious taste and is often just the bite people need to feel satisfied throughout the day.
A surprising benefit for some is the magnesium that celery contains. A natural cure for insomnia.
This mineral helps to relax the nervous system, so you feel tired and calm. Those who have a magnesium deficiency will find that they find it harder to sleep, and are often stressed at even the slightest problem.
Try this out for yourself, juice a glass or two of fresh celery every day for a week and see if you notice a difference. #celery#celeryjuicebenefits#vegtablesaregoodforyou#naturalmedicine
“There is a mountain of compelling research showing that plant protein allows for slow but steady synthesis of new proteins, and is the healthiest type of protein.”
-T. Colin Campbell, PhD (@nutritionstudies) “Myths about amino acid shortages and food combining were put to rest decades ago by experts and researchers in protein nutrition. Every plant food that provides protein — which includes all grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and vegetables — contains all of the essential amino acids that are needed by humans. Individual plant foods have lower percentages of some of the amino acids relative to needs, but it doesn’t matter for those who eat a healthy vegan diet. For one thing, the body maintains its own temporary storage of amino acids. And amino acids from different foods work together throughout the day to produce the right amounts and ratios of these protein building blocks.”
-Virginia Messina, R.D.
There are numerous options for protein-dense, plant-based sources of protein. Some great ones include: tempeh, seitan, lentils, beans, chickpeas (and hummus), avocados, tofu, versatile grains such as quinoa and teff, peas, peanut butter, almonds, sunflower seeds, whole wheat bread, spinach, broccoli, oatmeal, kale... #vegan#vegans#govegan#vegansofig#vegansofinstagram#crueltyfree#veganlife#vegetarian#herbivore#plantbased#animallovers#compassion#kindness#saveanimals#animalrights#friendsnotfood#plantstrong#vegangirl#govegan#veganfood#bornagainvegan#beyondmeat

Ouch‼️ Talk about back pain...
Take care of your back...back strength video coming up soon but for now tuck your tail! This means when standing-imagine your tail bone aiming for the ground. Wait‼️ don’t just imagine-make it happen. This will cause your hips to tip forward, your lower back to stretch and your abs to engage.
Patrick is at the Gentle Barn in California. I like to bring attention to this great animal saving organization when I can

A Vegan celebration for my beautiful Ayrshire girl was selected as one of the finalists in the 2018 Vuleka art competition held by the Bellville Arts Association. The finalist works will be on display at Art.b gallery till 7 September. This painting is about responsible dairy practices and a plead against farm animal abuse. I grew up on a farm and these animals are so much more than just property with eartags. I'm over the moon!!!! 🎉🍾🎨😊🐂🖌

When I first went vegan, I said to myself that I wouldn’t become one of those preachy, «annoying» vegans. I learned real quick that it’s not about being preachy or annoying, it’s passion, and standing up for what you truly believe in. With all the information and knowledge I’ve got about the meat and dairy industry, I can’t just sit around and not do anything about it. That wouldn’t be right, at least not for me. #vgang Photo: @siljevdm
