Did you know that Crocodiles are closely related to dinosaurs and birds?
Despite being classified as “reptiles”, crocodiles (and all crocodilians, including alligators) are more closely related to dinosaurs and birds than to most animals classified as reptiles. Do you like crocs? #Junglelandpanama
#Jungleland
We discovered the cutest litter of kittens (3 weeks old) living on the farmland during our previous stay. We started inching them closer to the house with food and I even caught one for a vet checkup. Yesterday, I woke up to mama cat nursing her babes comfortably outside our kitchen window. I think it’s safe to say we have cats! #catsoftheworld#animalrescue#countryliving

In my backyard with @lilytomlin some years back. Comedy night to raise money for a lawsuit against the city to release Billy, the elephant, from the LA Zoo. Elephants don’t live in zoos; they die in zoos. Billy remains at the zoo and despite changes mandated by the courts, he continues to suffer. PLEASE BOYCOTT ZOOS and CIRCUSES!
Here I am...
Animals allow us to be vulnerable, to be real, to be our true authentic self, with them we have nowhere to hide... and they love us anyway!!! What does that say about how we should be with eachother???
Our temporary hen house is “lit”, y’all! 😄❤️🎉 I suggested hubby hang some of our patio lights to give our ladies an extension to their day, but bedtime is still 8:00! Lights out, girls, no all nighters on the Grantham Family Farm! 😊❤️🐔
I wouldn't have had it any other way... my first pet was a tortoiseshell cat, I named her Buttons, I would have been 7 or 8?? I remember her coming to sleep on my bed each night, it always made me feel so loved 🐈🐈🐈 Bless her xx
What was your first pet type and name? And how did they affect your life?
Having a cat in my life the way Spicy has been In it, has taught me so much, and also that I cannot be in a life without a kitty in it! Even though I do identify with a Golden/chipoo *and a little hummingbird in it* (yes I went there, and no, I don’t care for the judgements lol and just in case a chipoo is a chihuahua poodle mix 🥰) I think I do have some cat in me.. 😻😸💖🥰 I adore how intricate these little ones are, they love you when they want to and in their own way.. some like to be around people, some don’t, some seek for your love and affection, some.. well.. some will let you know when you deserve their love and affection lol. I admire and adore how intricate, majestic and beautiful cats are, I mean after all I’m a Leo ♌️😉☺️ and my favorite animal is a lion 😍🦁
This is an Anhinga, they have a long S-shaped neck and a daggerlike bill. They swim with their bodies partly or mostly submerged and their long, snakelike neck held partially out of the water. After a swim they perch on branches or logs to dry out, holding their wings out and spreading their tails. You can see them while in #JungleLandPanama
Can you spot the Croc? At #junglelandpanama you can get a closer look to our friend, would you dare? .
Puedes ver el cocodrilo? En #jungleland puedes observar a nuestro amigo más de cerca. Te atreverías?
