@my_visiting_vet enjoying the view from the first day climb on the Overland Track, Australia. carrying everything for a week on your back was heavy but satisfying. We were actually snowed in after this for a day, but it felt great to push through the terrible conditions. /////

Anyone else struggle with drinking enough water daily? I sure do. 🙋🏽♀️ I tend to prioritize staying hydrated during the summer months, for the obvious reasons, but I forget to keep up with it when the temps start dropping. Water is the key ingredient to overall health and fitness and I have no doubt that if I keep up with it hydration will also help stave off illness. I have added a water logging app to my Garmin watch to keep me accountable. I’ll also need to get creative with how I get enough because I already have trouble keeping warm in the winter. I’m thinking of drinking it hot with fresh lemon and ginger. #hydrationiskey
What are your favorite ways to dress up warm water?
🏜 It’s taken me a while to figure out what it is about climbing that sets my soul on fire; but I finally realized that for me, it’s about the distance, not the sprint. It’s the sheer enjoyment of the journey to the top. It’s the technique, the exposure, and the features that make my mind boggle from meticulous detail at the same time as relax in pure euphoria. I don’t want to beat myself up for not being able to do a certain grade or shame myself for not being good at overhangs or bouldering. I’ll get there when I get there. Our lives by nature are consumed with stressful responsibilities and I want climbing to be the stress relief. I want this to be the one thing I can do unapologetically, for me without self-shaming or pressures of judgment. It’s all about the journey, the adventure, and the climb. 🧡
Always trying to keep up with this CrAZy girl while on the trail. She may be just a few months shy of being 8years young, but she’s a straight rockstar & still stays strong as our trail leader even when we’re on a bike! 🐶🐾🚴🏻♀️ #OurGirl#LunaPupAdventures
Galavanter @caliwolf “Reconnecting with the outdoors has been important to me, because it is a vital piece of my journey to returning to Lakota culture.
As I began this process of reconnection, I recognized how my relationship with the outdoors must exist simultaneously with my reconnection to culture.
As Lakota people we have always had a relationship with the outdoors, one which we were removed from, and one of which we continue to strengthen throughout ceremony. Reclaiming these spaces in my daily life has been a source of strength for me.” 🔆

Still dreaming about being back in Vegas! What an epic weekend of friends, climbing, dressing up and hitting the town with my partner in crime @chloewandering. I think we managed to go 99% of the weekend without even mentioning Girls Who Climb!! 😂😂😊 Which is incredible seeing as the two of us are in communication about it every. single. day. So great being able to have a girls weekend just the two of us! Pic from Chloe as I rap down one of my favorite, fun cracks 👊🏼 over in Willow Springs.
Carry the spirit of a child
Just keep getting really excited about things and see the world as massive and unending in inspiration, colour, and dreams, and spread those sparks around so everyone is on fire too...
because wonder is a contagious burning thing that fuels adulthood like the slingshot of an arrow. ↟
The rush it brings.
Mt snikatu as seen from Herman's gulch last year on Thanksgiving. I have to say that snikatu is a beauty from every angle. I realize that argument could be made about any mountain but there is just something so "mountain" about her. No matter from which angle I view her, she stands out. Happy that I can say that she's just as beautiful from the top! 😊👊🗻

I spy me at The Crack. This is one of my favourite hiking trails at Killarney Provincial Park - just when you think you’re done climbing, another rock escarpment awaits you. The trail and climb was stunning and I’d do it all over again.
@lizzyvanpatten sending Winter Sustenance on a last minute what-the-hell go in Trout Creek. Amazing how letting go of expectations is all it takes to get the result sometimes.
Also amazing watching someone through THE moment that makes climbing the individual experience that shapes the sport. Glad I could be up on the rope with ya Lizzy!! 😘😵 #tradisrad#shemovesmountains
I just like to smile, smiling’s my favourite 🤗 #buddytheelf
My house has been transformed into Christmas wonderland and this is exactly my mood every time I come home now 🎄Some may say it’s too early for Christmas cheer, and to those cotton headed ninny muggins I say, you sit on a throne of lies 😑
I asked my mom the other day to tell me again the story of how I got my middle name Moon.. this is what she said 🌙 —————————————————————
“When you were only a few months old you seemed to be drawn to the moon. And when you were able to point and talk which was very early (5-6 months), you were able to find the Moon, even during the day, and point and say “Moon”. We would praise you and say that's a Casara Moon.” -My Mother ♥️ 😭 📸: @vinhntran (the best, check him out)
LAST OF THEIR KIND 👉 Baby orangutans stay very close to their mothers for several years until they are old enough to fend for themselves. 1 week ago, I was blessed to see 10 orangutans over 3 days in the Gunung Leuser national park.
This baby was curiously checking what was on the forest floor & mummy was keeping tight hold. 👉These are the last of their kind 👈

When we drove into the valley I think I nearly stopped breathing.
This incredible wall came into view, the morning light hitting it perfectly.
There was no doubt what it was.
It’s energy was overwhelming.
Beautiful, powerful, humbling, literally breath taking.
We sat under it again for lunch and watched the climbers, just dots on such a massive face.
Again we watched it as the sun set.
It draws you in. It stops you in your tracks.
I’d seen it so many times in photos, documentaries, movies.
Nothing could have prepared me for seeing it in real life.
El Cap... wow. Just wow. 🙏💕
Today I am extra grateful for the most supporting & loving partner. Whether in business or in adventures this guy has my back & is rooting me on to go further than I think I’m capable of going.
What are you grateful for today? 🧡

When I hike, climb, and generally adventure, I have this habit of looking at the ground (or the things at eye level). I'm trying to be better about looking up-metaphorically and literally-in the moments things are a little sufferfest-y. Cause there's some damn straight magic up there.
This month is full of packed bags & early mornings, too much computer time & not enough outside time, planning for the future while still processing the last few months. It’s also full of sweet reunions with folks that mean the world to me (looking at you, #lomconference18 and Palouse Friendsgiving), opportunities for new friendships & discernment and the chance to learn more about my work. Balancing all the feelings today, and remembering this sweet day hiking with @vklefler & @keith1789 this summer. Seeking perspective, then and now. Biggest grin ever because... TOMORROW IS VAIL OPENING DAY! This is the first time in 10 years that Vail has opened early... Sometimes I get anxious during ski season. Some of you might relate. A nervous energy about missing those amazing hidden powder stashes. Not making turns when somebody else is. Missing a powder day! It’s actually super silly. Tom and I always laugh at each other when we get into this mindset. It is awesome to love something so much... and it’s a total waste of time to get worked up about it for even a moment. Maybe there is something in your life you feel this way about... I consider it fomo... or fomapd: fear of missing a powder day... Either way, do what you love whenever you can, and when you are doing what you love, stop worrying about all the other things you need to do. Just enjoy!
This is the first year in a while where we are starting the season with an abundance of REAL snow on the ground. I can't wait to hit the slopes in my new outerwear outfit from @roxy! Most of you know that I've struggled with skin issues in the past so I am really excited about the Hydrosmart technology that protects your skin while you ride! I will be hitting the slopes this weekend so tune into my stories for an update on all the gear in action! How many of you will be getting out on the hill this season and what resorts do you have on your list? #roxysnow#partner

“ In the end she became more than what she expected. She became the journey, and like all journey’s she did not end, she just simply changed directions and kept going “ R.m. Drake✨ Feeling incredibly grateful for the badass people in my life that inspire me and fill my heart up! Thanks @sayyestoadventure_ for the awesome shots and an even better day!
This is Silver Peak in Killarney Provincial Park. To even get to the start of the hiking trail, it’s a 45 minute canoe ride through Bell Lake. The 8km hike up 1770ft took 4 hours. It was sweaty and hot but the views were totally worth it. I would do it all over again!
What’s the longest hike you’ve been on?
