I am EXHILARATED to start my NEW 3-week YOGA class, TAPAS! “Tapas” refers to intense self-discipline for purification of mind, body, & senses. The literal translation means “to cook, heat, transform.” The 3-week course builds heat from the INSIDE out (NOT a “hot yoga” class!), through an engaging, upbeat practice that incorporates lots of movement + endurance holds to add a little flair, challenge, & stamina to our asana (yoga posture) practice. This intensity of the practice is what feeds our sense of self-discipline & clears the mind, so it works not just on a physical level, but on mental & energetic levels as well.
Our weekly sequence, built up over our three 90-minute sessions, focuses on upper-body strengthening, moving balances, holds for the quadriceps, & #core work synced with the breath.

We'll do some classic poses that are sure to hit some of your favorites, such as High Lunge, Cat-Cow, Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), Utkatasana (Fierce/Chair Pose), Balancing Cat, Planks & lots of variations of side planks, Warrior 3 with Movement, & Navasana (Upward Facing Boat), & Twists. But we will also add some playful transitions, variations, & long holds, to build our vitality & concentration!

I support hydrocephalus. For all of who may not have known, I was born with too much cerebral spinal fluid on my brain. This disease is called none other than hydrocephalus. This causes many physical health issues for me, including occasional seizures and sight problems. I stand in support of creating awareness for people who suffer from this disease, just as I do. #supporthydrocephalus 💙
In this instance, Jr. used a disease that he suffers with to show that he is #alwaysalready participating in a network of systems. He is using his voice to create awareness for a disease that many people may not know much about. He understands that he is participating in a network of reality and that he has to do his part in order to keep these networks balanced and informed.
So Gender roles are toxic to this society and the only thing suspending this transitional apparition is the fear of loss one may acquire when losing their identified masculinity and/or femininity. #ComeToLife we have #nothing to #lose but our #chains#alwaysalready weaving our existence into a reverberating vortex of entropy lol (theory jokes are hilarious why am I in school)
You Are Ready For Your Life
procrastination happens when we think that we are not ready to do something. behind procrastination, there is fear of this something being too much or not enough. fear of taking action in the now as if the now could ever disappoint us. when you are fully present in the now, engaged in what you are doing, no disappointment is possible, but rather there is wonder at the intricacies of even the simple acts you perform. because what you are doing is the very thing that is not only the proof of the fact that you were always ready to do it. but, if you actually fail, it is also evidence of the fact that you are getting ready to be ready for next time. in any case, you are always ready if you are ready to act, that is to live life fully and with courage. cherishing the now is about cherishing our potential always already revealing itself in action. so do not fear no more. just be. you are ready.
