I know this may not be the BEST star photo on Instagram but let me tell you - I am proud AF of this. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to photography and do not consider myself an expert. I’m self taught and an avid YouTube user when it comes to tips and tricks. I remind myself it takes time and lots of patience to get where I want to be - but then photos turn out like this and it makes it all worth it! I give myself 5 milk-way stars on this one ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
6:27 a.m. sunrise in #Ninamarca 🌞We departed #Cusco at 3:30 a.m. that day to make our way to the infamous #Paucartambo festival where I inevitably got my wallet stolen, but all smiles before that 😁✌🏻#TravelsbyTM
Taking to the skies in Cape Verde ✈️ Amazing capture by @ivo.domingues of a rare natural phenomena any drone pilot would hope to find: A pond of mineral oil resulting from salt filtering. It's like baby oil on water but in nature!
Always out exploring our backyard!
The feeling you have when you just summited a lake that you haven’t been for at least 11 years because it’s not a dog allowed hike.. Today I took my buddy @shannybrown7 up to Garibaldi Lake .. I won’t lie I did felt guilty when I left this morning because I had to leave the pups home. That was my first time and it was weird not having them on the trail but sometimes you have no choice I guess. It took us 2 hrs 20 minutes for the 9 km on the way up and 4 hours round trip for the 18 km and the elevation is 800 meter. It is a good mellow hike although it was a bit challenging for Shannon on the way up but she made it! Unfortunately there’s no view along the hike only tall trees and it was very busy on the way down but totally worth it at the end.. I am so in love with this place I called home.. Just wish I would of being able to bring my pups up here, they would of love it.. but now it’s time to head for a swim with the pups! 🏔☀️👣 #GaribaldiLake#SquamishLife#SingleLife#HikingLife#TrailLife#SquamishHikes#MountainLife#MountainGirl#MountainMama#OutdoorLiving#ExploreBC#HelloBC#ExploreCanada#BeautifulBC#GetOutside#CanadianMountains#AdventureGirl#AllAboutAdventures#StayWild#SundayVibes @shannybrown7 @womenwhoexplore @womenwhohike @hike.vibes @hike_bc @squamishhikes @hike.vibes @avontuurco @mountaingirls @mtn_babes_ @mtnchicks @mountainvibez
My birthday wish is always the same: banana pancakes (or waffles!), dinner out and canoeing. 23 was a hard year in a lot of ways. But sometimes you have to go through rough patches to grow. I'm looking forward to everything this coming year will bring, most of all, marrying my best friend in 48 days and then exploring Japan together! Cheers to 24! 🥂
(P.S. The Fujifilm X-T20 is 🔥)
It’s always amazing to me the connections you make you when you go up in the mountains alone.
I met Jade (@wildjadee) two nights ago up when she had just climbed up to the lake on this mountain and we chatted about where to pitch her tent. When I saw that she only had a can of tuna and crackers for dinner, I offered to share my dehydrated pad thai which was more than I needed anyways. We took turns scooping out spoonfuls of food (I always bring two spoons), talked about her unreal road trip through some of the most amazing national parks in the states, and how she ended up here in Whistler, hiking up a mountain alone, just like me. She’s a wild Quebecois girl through and through and honestly, I think she’s pretty darn rad. It’s pretty cool how the mountain led us to meet each other.
the most charming little mountain village with endless quaint shops, ah.may.zing food (highly recommend the mussels at 21 steps kitchen & bar), and epic mountain views. I am already planning my next trip 💕
