While unpacking parts a chap came to the workshop looking for someone called Noel. Never heard of him but a stunning Alfa Romeo parked in the sun caught my attention. Few years ago this car was painted in this workshop and just completed the other day, paintwork was flawless, this Noel guy did a sterling job. A quick look underneath revealed lovely restored components but not only that. A mark on the drive belt indicated contact/rubbing issues, at this moment the owner mentioned a noise belt on start up and weird noise from engine bay. "Pop the bonnet" time, water hose jubilee clip found touching the drive belt which was wrongly adjusted(recipe for disaster). Breakdown prevented, some other issues noted and discussed. It's so nice to deal with somebody that appreciates you finding faults and discusses preservation (in the sense of investment). What was your last surprise?
When I've seen her, I told myself "how can we put you back on the road?". Then, I noticed point to point the little points of rust and the missing gearbox as well as the lack of door opener! What really surprise is that my friend doesn't believe me when I tell him that she will startup subito! #AlfaRomeo#Alfa#AlfaRomeoGTV#AlfaGTV#AlfettaGTV
