Getting on that big tin bird to head home for 2 weeks. First time since the first time I've made the journey on my own home from the UK and that was nearly 18 years ago. Feeling apprehensive leaving my family behind but looking forward to the time ahead.
NZ based TRC consultant Tracy Johnston has been working with Activate Tairawhiti and Air New Zealand to assist local organisations and iwi to establish new quality visitor experiences. Yesterday marked a milestone for the Tairawhiti Voyaging Trust completing a successful trial run of their new Waka Cultural Experience which will be available to visitors for the first time this Saturday.
When you hand the flight attendant your #keepcup but they blatantly ignore it 🙄😭 This last bit of the journey is getting me super frustrated (among other things I got my coffee order messed up and received the wrong coffee in a disposable cup despite the fact that I had given them my reusable one, and later on on the plane I fell asleep only to wake up to an individually packaged cookie and a packet of peanuts I didn’t ask for). I had to repeatedly remind myself that I’m doing the best I can. BUT I’ve just heard that #airnewzealand is apparently going plastic free from next year! 👏🏼 #zerowaste#zerowastetravel

I’m a big sucker for window seats, the views from 30000 ft up, there’s nothing like seeing the world from thousands of feet up in the air 🙏 ⠀
@airnz providing the real golden hour glow on my flight 😍🔥 ⠀

Some ask why Wellington is one of my favorite cities in the world. I think it may be the big city small town feel with mountains and ocean and sailing and craft beer and surfing and fishing and and those kinds of things. #wellywood#goodonya#nzspaceagency#airnewzealand
It's the little things! A 'sign' that I made it into the plane from London to L.A. yesterday ... And after a long trip with very little sleep, then a 'close to decent' sleep at my hotel, today I'm off to explore Disneyland! Bring it on!
