She is a social activist 🗣from Bandra ( H- Ward ) and also trustee #AGNI.She shared her experience and journey of her work along with our fellow.⚡ Fellows were motivated after the talk with as they interacted Ma'am and interacted with Ma'am about the issues related with there projects.

AGNI 🌞 In Ayurveda Agni means fire and refers to the body’s digestive fire- our ability to process food and transform it into energy to boost Ojas (which supports our life force or Prana and our immune system). We can also relate this to how we process & assimilate our experiences, mental Agni if you like. We often need to break things down in order to transform our understanding of how the body works (functional movement, chains of movement). The sequence in this clip may seem simple, but in the first part I’m letting my knee be fairly heavy/relaxed and anchoring the lifting action from my pelvis. The whole ‘core’ sequence in fact, is working with a ‘lift’ from the pelvis with mula bandha, rather than an over-exertion of shallower muscles on the abdomen. This is harder to do, but pays off- especially in standing balances with ‘hips square’ like Virabhadrasana 3 or Parivrtta Ardha Chandrasana which come up later in the sequence. So much of our ‘core’ can be accessed through the intelligent anchoring in the pelvis along with other deeper muscles. More of this in next weeks vinyasa classes @yogareadinguk Tuesday 6-7:15. Merk je dat je lichaam het eten niet altijd even goed verteerd? 😕 Dan kan je spijsvertering waarschijnlijk wel een 'boost' gebruiken! Dit kun je eenvoudig zelf doen door gebruik te maken van een eeuwenoude Ayurvedische 'spijsverteringsbooster'.

👉  Neem een klein en dun stukje verse gember, besprenkel met een paar druppels citroen/limoensap,  honing en een heel klein beetje zout. Eet dit op voor je avondmaaltijd. Naast het activeren van je spijsvertering zijn er ook een aantal simpele manieren om ervoor te zorgen dat je spijsvertering goed blijft werken: • eet alleen als je echt honger hebt
• drink kleine slokjes warm water bij je maaltijden
• zorg dat je zit als je iets eet en kauw je eten goed (je spijsvertering begint al in je mond😉)
• focus echt op je eten, dus leg die telefoon even weg en zet de tv uit. Geniet en eet bewust! Daardoor heb je ook veel eerder in de gaten wanneer je 'vol' zit.

I went on a little rant yesterday morning in my stories. If you watched much love lol. I was talking about how I woke up feeling tinges of overwhelm, not full blown anxiety (like it used to be), but just enough to get me to notice something going on.🎄

All I wanted to do was crawl back under the covers and sleep. Again, if this was last year this is something I probably would have done. Instead I got up and got going. I went to my mat for some deep breaths and journaling and received a download loud & clear as to why I’m feeling this way- it’s the holiday season!🎄

This time of year asks lots of us; as if we weren’t already busy enough. We tend to commit to all the things, most of the time bc we feel like we have to. This usually leads to burnout, exhaustion, low immunity, and for me also leads to not so mindful eating- and holidays usually means all the sweets and heavy dairy/starchy meals. This will weaken the immune system even more, and fog your mind resulting in a lack of any sort of mind-body connection.🎄

Make sure to ground down and take care of yourself ESPECIALLY these next 14 days (yes 2 weeks until Christmas)🎄
1. Say NO, to anything that doesn’t bring you joy. Saying yes to too many things that don’t make you happy will only create stress, resentment, overwhelm, and anger. This manifests in sickness, inflammation, low energy, and cloudy thoughts in the body.🎄

2. Eat nourishing foods. Try to eat the rainbow and keep your choices light. Root vegetables are key to help ground. Anything you can cook fresh for you or your fam is a bonus!!! Warm natural foods are easier to digest than cold processed foods.🎄

3. Stay hydrated. I know for me when it’s cold out I tend to forget to drink water because I’m already cold, why drink water and not just grab the hot coco or warm cider? This year instead of the sugary hot drinks I’m opting for warm/hot water. Hot/warm water is actually MORE hydrating than cold. Add lemon and ginger to add a little more nourishment to your digestive fire🎄

Pancakes, dietitian style 👌 Seriously upping the fiber, anti-inflammatory omega 3, protein, phytonutrient, & oh yeah DELICIOUSNESS of my gluten-free pancake stack by adding hemp seeds, chia seeds, cacao nibs, good old fashioned ‘naner, & of course only real maple syrup. Cinnamon, blueberries, and cardamom went into the batter too 👉👉 You don't always have to give up your favorite foods to eat healthy, but instead try getting creative by packing them with as much good stuff as possible! 😋 Enjoying your food without guilt or stress is a key ingredient to the health recipe as well!

🍋Rale o gengibre natural (1 colher de sopa coada)
🍋5 gotas de limão
🥃1 copo de água morna 150 ml
O gengibre possui:
Rasa (sabor) picante
Virya (efeito energético) quente
Vipaka (efeito pós digestivo) doce
Por isso ele pacifica Vata e Kapha, porém ele não agrava Pitta.

Cinco Beneficios de sirsasana o postura de la parada de cabeza.

1. #Sirsana hace circular una corriente de sangre pura hacia las células del cerebro, teniendo un efecto #rejuvenecedor, con lo que la #fuerza del pensamiento se incrementa y las ideas se vuelven más claras. Si sufres de fatiga constante, depresión o letargo esta #asana, que proporciona también sangre a las glándulas #pituitaria y #pineal que están ubicadas en el cerebro, es un excelente estimulante mental. Estas dos glándulas son vitales para nuestro bienestar.

2. Las posturas invertidas revierten el efecto de la fuerza de gravedad sobre nuestros órganos internos, sobre todo de los intestinos. La ejecución de esta #asana incrementa el calor y el #agni o fuego digestivo en el cuerpo. Los intestinos se purifican debido a la liberación de sangre obstruida en el colon. Excelente postura para las personas que sufren de estreñimiento.

3. #Rejuvenece toda la parte inferior del cuerpo como las piernas, la pelvis y el tronco. La sangre de esa zona fluye óptimamente desde las extremidades hacia la cabeza. Nos ayuda además a eliminar los fluidos corporales acumulados en las piernas aliviando la sensacion de pesadez.

4. Estimula el sistema linfático ayudando a eliminar las toxinas del cuerpo. El sistema linfático es responsable de la eliminación de los desechos, del balance de los líquidos y la buena respuesta del sistema inmunológico.

5. Mejora las capacidades cognitivas como la concentración, la memoria y el procesamiento de información. Además, realizar la postura requiere también fuerza abdominal y para ser capaces de mantener la postura debemos contraer los oblicuos, el recto y transverso abdominal. 
Cuando se practica de manera constante y correcta nos ayuda a mantener la columna alineada, mejora la respiracióny afecta positivamente los principales sistemas en el cuerpo: 
cardiovascular, linfático, endocrino y nervioso.
