Twin Peaks was a major cultural phenomenon during its debut season in 1990 which led to endless merchandising and potential franchising opportunities for ABC. DiC Ent was slated to begin production on a Mystery-of-the-Week-style animated series to be a tentpole for a proposed Saturday Morning original programming block but due to the newly-passed E/I ratings (though not implemented until 1996) and collective disinterest by ABC executives to expand their children's market, only a brief sizzle reel was completed with a speculative cast sheet and script for only the pilot episode "The Pilfered Pies." Come to @pushpullseattle Tomorrow night to view the only known surviving animation cels from my personal collection. #twinpeaks#seattleart#animationcel#artifacts#ephemera#obscura#saturdaymorningcartoons#knowingishalfthebattle#manfromanotherplace#loglady#kylemaclachlan#coop#agentdalecooper
The Owls Are Not What They Seem 🦉
The story behind the decision of making this custom 1/6 scale figure of @twinpeaks @kyle_maclachlan as Agent Dale Cooper:
I've always wanted a nice representation of Dale Cooper, as a very big fan of Twin Peaks, I was hoping to see so many things, especially custom stuff being made of Cooper. Unfortunately, nothing showed up through time and for so many years. Last year, I picked up so many names of talented artists to make me one customized Cooper. I feel so happy with this result .

It turns out my friend who was in Washington had already visited Snoqualmie Falls before I sent her an article about Twin Peaks destinations in Washington and she didn’t have any idea about it being in Twin Peaks. It was just a sightseeing spot I guess. But I’m jealous! I wish I was there.
For those of you who missed the Steeplejack Reunion in North Bend and Snoqualmie this weekend, here are a few videos of @promqueenmusic @leeni.music is doing a show, Femme Fatale at the @cancanseattle twice a night Wednesday - Sunday and Prom Queen came out after her second show on Sunday to perform for us at midnight! I’m sharing a picture of this iconic scene because yesterday I was talking to someone who was telling me about a wedding in Minnesota that she attended that took place in a forest with “lots of Douglas Firs.” Those were her exact words. I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped because in Louisiana, no one has ever even heard of Douglas Firs and the only reference I have heard is in Twin Peaks. So of course I kind of zoned out the rest of the conversation, thinking about Agent Cooper and those wonderful Douglas Firs he was obsessed with. Don’t regret it one bit though.

I’m going out of town for the weekend and I’m excited. But my best friend leaves for New York this week and my other best friend is in Seattle right now so my little trip that’s only a couple hours drive from my hometown is pretty lame in comparison. I miss my vacation to England and Scotland. I also wish I was in Washington like my friend. She doesn’t watch Twin Peaks so I know she won’t take advantage of seeing the filming locations like I totally would if I were there.
