The joys of handing super sleek machine back to a very excited customer. Still not sure who was smiling more.
Full di2 upgrade on osymetric rings and @ceramicspeed OSPW. Not easy to tune and get right but lots of tweaks and testing has left this bike running perfectly.
This is my Triathlon Ballin On a Budget Project. I’ve bought this bike to try and get back to racing some triathlons this season after breaking my elbow May 2017. The goal is to build a competitive bike that I’ll be happy with, as cheap as I can. I’m going to keep a rolling total on money spent, so everyone can keep track. Bike $2k. Packed and shipped $260. Bike arriving and being a different size than advertised - refunded $500, selling original wheels $500 (now using an old set of Shimano RS81 that I had already). Zipp Vuka base bar donated by @drurease . CURRENT TOTAL $1,260- #3dbikefit#ballinonabudget#triathlon#bmctm01#swimbikerun#timetrial#aerogains#cycling
Another solid week with this little @specialized_uk Allez in for some finessing.
Shortening cables and tuning the gears correctly make a good bike great. Anyone can attach bits to a bike but you have to know what you are doing when it comes.to fine tuning.
Still have an unknown creak but @dcrwheels are sending me some parts to fix that.
Important with TT racing is to really work on holding your best position for long periods of time without compromising your aerodynamics 🎯
Top tips for a better TT position.
1. Work on the skis for long periods of time even if its at endurance pace. Start with blocks of 15mins then try to increase over time.
2. Flexibility helps massively so really concentrate on areas that you might not think like your neck and back of shoulders
3. Work on those power muscles which are slightly different to a road position. Concentrate on your lower back, core, glutes, hamstrings and one that everyone forgets the hip flexors !!
If you put all that into action you will maintain a better position for longer and power delivery will go up 📈
Its rarely the problems that you prepare to test you that actually are the ones that derail your dreams.
Hours of training, ££s of investment, patience of loved ones tested, all packed and prepared, only to be taken down by microscopic bacteria.
Truly distraught that I'm likely to miss out on closing this season at @thelondontri this weekend, due to a sinus infection. Its the little things, there is nothing bigger.

Great to catch up with bike fit guru Ryan @3dbikefit to get my positioned tweaked. I have been seeing Ryan for 4 years now and each time we make improvements as I develop as an athlete. Today we found a way to alleviate some unnecessary movement that had developed that saw me not being as smooth as I could be. I am loving the feel of the bike with the changes we made. #3dbikefit#onepointhealth#freespeed#savewatts#aerogains#penrith#sydney#australia
If this young lady puts it all together on this coming weekend, she should be in for fast time at the 25 mile time trial nationals!
Hugely talented and always great fun to work with, we're humbled that you still make the drive from Loughborough to come see us for your bike fitting needs.
Best of luck for a flyer!
Swipe right to see the high hand position we opted for with Alex ➡️
