Quite time... Ahhh Quite time, that precious wind down before bedtime... if your child is anything like my boy they catch on very quickly and it becomes, well what I like to call it the calm before the storm lol.. After dinner we usually head up stairs for the start of our "quite time"...away from any technology, mind you Leo doesn't own or has ever used a phone or ipad, its usually for me to disconnect and to ensure I have some bonding time with him before he sleeps. Quite time usually begins with a bath followed by playing with some non musical toys and looking/reading a book, we usually base ourselves in his room on the floor with the night light on. This has worked a treat the last few months however mr smarty pants has now caught on... He realizes as soon as bathtime is over he will be going to sleep or I will be trying to put him to sleep in the next hour so as soon as he steps into his room, its on like donkey kong! We scream, cry and carry on like a little pork chop.. I'm reluctant to take him out of his room during this time as I want him to have less stimulation as possible.
Any ideas? Many doctors and nutritionist recommend eating sweet over white potatoes claiming that it’s more beneficial. -
Let's talk science and take a look at the facts of both and you can decide the rest. -
You can see the comparison between the two types of potatoes. It doesn’t seem that there is not much difference in any of the macronutrients, even the fiber content, which is one of the main reason doctors recommends sweet over white potato. -
However, sweet potato has a higher micronutrients profile, especially in vitamin A. -
Some think that sweet potatoes are complex carbohydrates and white potatoes are simple carbohydrates, but that’s just not true. -
Both are starchy vegetables, meaning they’re complex, not simple form of carbohydrates. They may have higher GI/GL than other vegetables, but this pretty much differs on how you cook them and incorporate them with other food items. -
So, why white potato has a bad reputation for being unhealthy?

We all have to start somewhere. This is me aged 3 in my first theatre roll. I was playing the ugly duckling at my local theatre.. These days kids have everything instantly available. The world in the palm of their hands. They are also surrounded by reality TV ... Being ‘successful’ on a TV talent show could potentially make them a lot of money and bring them a level of fame they have always dreamt of.
What these shows don’t show the years of practice that the most successful contestants on these shows put in on order to achieve everything they do. They haven’t just rocked up to the X-factor and made it.
I speak to many kids (and parents too) who don’t want to do ‘small local’ shows. These are the shows that will make them!
So encourage your child to dream big and remind them that success isn’t achieved over night... that beautiful swan started off as an ugly duckling and that mega pop star started singing in their local church ...xx. PS: if you haven’t already joined my group... head on over. Link in bio.

4. Tidur dengan cukup 😴
Tau nggak kalo tidur itu bisa berdampak pada keseharian kita? Dengan tidur yang cukup, insyaAllah kita bakal lebih produktif dibanding kita tidur sebentar. Mulai dari sekarang, yuk kita atur jam tidur kita!⌚🌛
5. Manjakan dirimu 💆
Sekali-sekali, manjakan diri kita itu penting juga, lho~ bisa dengan ke spa, atau perawatan wajah atau bahkan manggil tukang pijit ke rumah juga bagus untuk relaksasi~ 😚
6. Makan makanan yang sehat dan yang kamu sukai 😋💕
Biarpun kamu lagi diet atau lagi mau mengontrol berat badanmu, itu bukan berarti kamu harus menahan diri untuk makan makanan favoritmu! Sekali-sekali, boleh aja kamu makan makanan favoritmu ATAU kamu bisa cari alternatif lain yang lebih sehat yang bisa menyamai makan fav kamu itu 👍🍴
7. Ngumpul dengan orang-orang yang positif 👭+
Dengan kita ngumpul dengan kawan-kawan yang positif, otomatis sedikit banyak kita pasti akan tertular kepositifan mereka pula! Jadi, bagusnya cari teman yang baik-baik ya guys! 💞
8. Perbanyaklah senyum dan tertawa! 😊
Dalam Islam, senyum itu sunnah! Tersenyum juga salah satu cara untuk tetap positif. Tapi jangan terlalu banyak tertawa ya.. nanti dikira.. 😂

I love social media. It helps me stay connected, network, get inspired and informed.
I hate social media. It distracts me, it tries to get negativity in my mind and makes me addicted to likes and comments.
Social media has its benefits but also has a dark side.
To make sure social media doesn’t influence my mood, I set myself a curfew. I don't check social media one hour before bed and 3 hours after waking up. Those two moments control most of my day and thus my life. Being grateful and 100% positive at those moments have been so helpful to me in staying positive and productive.
After living a month without a phone while travelling, I felt freed from the social media validation addiction.
When buying a new phone, I suddenly went from 0 notifications to 24/7 notifications.
Social media, E-mails, group chats, news apps, … My phone was constantly distracting me by telling some online acquaintance liked something, something happened 12000kms away from me, or because one of my friends posted another meme in our group chat.
How could all those unimportant not urgent things distract me from the time I was spending connecting with people, exploring new things, trying to sleep, learning something new. I quickly turned off all my app notifications, oh boy did I gain time and joy!
Now I choose when to check my apps whenever I want to connect online, network, get inspired or informed.

Кто-нибудь слышал о Бузулукской крепости? Так получилось, что и я только слышал и, готовясь к поездке, читал о ней. Но посмотреть её мне так и не удалось. Ведь в Бузулук я поехал с задачей преподавать будущим нефтяникам.
Это уже второй город в Оренбургской области, порадовавший способными и весьма талантливыми детьми. Очевидно, что комиссия "Роснефть-классов" проделала большую работу, отбирая учащихся. Проводить занятия и тренинги с этими молодыми дарованиями — одно удовольствие для преподавателей.
Благодарю компанию "Роснефть" за очередную "миссию" и за открытие нового для меня города. Мои знакомства с городами России — заслуга "Роснефти" и АЭФКО!

I need advice please... We are having friends over for dinner on Friday evening but they are Vegans and I have no idea what to cook. Any delicious ideas that won't take me hours to prepare? And perhaps a dessert too? I didn't quite realise how much of what I cook and consume contains animal product until I tried to think of a menu idea.
