The Canadian geese are here! If you have seen my stories lately, you know I’m slightly obsessed... like crazy-neighborhood-stalker-lady status. Strangely, everything I’ve read on the internet about their migration south is how to “handle” them. Apparently they become snappy and aggressive. I don’t know about you, but they could easily be talking about me. Catch me early in the morning before coffee? Yea.. I just need a pond. I can drink my coffee and they can have their space. We can be perfectly grumpy together. It’s a win, win.
We made it to destination 2️⃣ of 3️⃣ 👉🏼 #MonteVerde ‼️ This is our backyard for the next few days. How in the F‼️am I supposed to go back the madness of LA corporate life after this. #FirstWorldProblems 🥺
Someday, I'll be learning to see life in a broader perspective.
Seeing life as a whole is a whole new different manner to see purposes throughout our journey. Joyous family, circle of friends full of laughter, and life in an amazing perspective. Those are abstract things that must be considered essential and are things to have throughout the challenging environment outside our carapaces. "Be strong like a 🐢"

You never really been to Como until you visited Como. To get to Como, we took a train out of Milano and 2 different boats. You can visit Lago Di Como from many towns but Bellagio and Como are a must go!
The #hudsonvalley is known for its historic #churches that are littered across the region. This by far is one of our favorites with it sturdy but dilapidated exterior. Have you seen this church before?

Back on stage in Toronto this week with @atgtgeatre premiering Bound V.2, an opera telling stories of migration and displacement due to war. With every new detail set in place in the music, and the hall - from the entrance to the bathroom - what should feel like a utopia turns more and more real, as if the four characters just walked in from the street to share their painful stories with an audience that actually selflessly pays attention for a change. It is the exact change we need to battle the many alarming crises in our society. Attention and compassion fuel hope, hate kills.
Without a doubt, this was one of my favorite mornings in Alaska. Quiet, calm stillness hung in the air as fog rose from the half frozen lake. Peaks of the Alaskan Range stood tall and grand, sun kissing the snow at their highest points, but the grandest of all remained shrouded in her comfortable cloak of clouds throughout the day. I expected nothing more, and it was all intensely beautiful. I can still taste the chill in the early spring air and feel natures hushed whispers reminding me that I’m alive and free, and exactly where I was meant to be.
Over the past year, I’ve become acutely aware of what sets my soul on fire, what makes my heart sing... and it’s an interesting place in life to be. I’ve been plagued by this odd internal discord that drives me nuts at times, and I recognize now that it’s because my daily actions (and daily life in general) are completely misaligned with my values and I’m sort of stuck in this crossroads. I’m fairly certain I’ve had one foot on each street for the better part of a year, paralyzed for want of movement in any direction.
The remedy I’ve chosen? Meditation. I’ve been meditating daily for several weeks now in hopes of gaining more clarity and connection, and for the time being, the practice has been bringing me peace amidst the daily grind I long to shift away from. I essentially feel as though I’m floating on a proverbial cloud and the minutia of daily life rolls past unable to touch me and pull me down, and that is an incredible feeling!
It’s almost like being immune to stress and other super charged negative energies simply because I can see them for what they are now, and when resting in a place of self-love (which is super new to me thanks to the mindfulness practices I’ve learned at @outwild.co Outwild) those negative energies flit by, unable to penetrate the surface.
I truly feel blessed by this new perspective and the ways in which I was taught to honor & nourish my soul.
Solo travel is incredibly humbling. You have absolutely no idea who or what you’re going to discover. It takes an open mind and a strong heart. Being adaptable to any environment and situation, learning your own boundaries and needs.
Connecting with genuine people make all the difference in the experience.
