plotting & scheming for our southwest road trip next week. or maybe this week because we’re so excited to get out there! this is from last month in jtree with maya next to @_spiritkitten_’s rad mural 😍
Well this is certainly a different look for the bus. Especially coming from Florida.
I’m pleased to tell you it’s been very cozy in the bus lately, even with the temperatures in the teens some nights. A big reason for this is our Cubic Mini wood stove. Man that thing packs a punch!
In addition to the wood stove, our Pioneer mini split does heat as well. We do have to be plugged into power to use the heat function.
In the next few weeks we’ll be finishing the “winterization” of the bus. This little lady is getting a skirt!
Are you living in a cold area this winter? What are you doing to prepare for the cold?
I deffinatly miss Shelbys little kitchen. All the food storage, spices and oils. I have found myself living off of trail food this past month with out her. Funny you would think the opposite, but this little kitchen is my dining hall. A perfect club house made for me. I never expected to feel so fondly over a van. Shes my home 💗
We choose #RVlife for the simple joys of a #homeonwheels -- One of the greatest joys being warm water in the chill of #winter . ❄️ Are you planning on camping in the cold? If so, visit our #ExperienceLife blog (link in bio) to learn how to #winterize your #RV 's water heater. | 📷: @nick.f_nz | 🗺: Mount Cook
The Dominican Chapel of St Hyacinth in Yalgoo, Western Australia. Designed by architect priest Monsignor John Hawes whom was responsible for the construction of a number of churches in WA. An interesting man to research and follow his work.
It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to Maine’s rocky coast. Here, as a teen, I learned to face the cold of winter head on. I’d squirm my way into a 6 millimeter wetsuit and trudge through snow to become one with the 35 degree Atlantic Ocean. My eyeballs would freeze, my skin would chap and I feel the only reason I survived was peeing in my wetsuit. Friends, I’d drink extra water before going out so I could pee free for warmth. 🙈 But it was always worth it, those moments of surfing in icy isolation. Always worth it. So grateful for Maine for instilling in me grit for the road of life. Maine I freaking love you. I’ll be back. 🧡✨🌏 #LiveRefreshed#sponsored Thanks for the water bottle @hydroflask! Let’s end single use plastic bottles! 💙
tomorrow my best friend moves across the world to start a new adventure in Australia. it has been so cool to watch you turn into the person you’ve become over the past 7 years. thanks for always being down to nearly miss a flight for one more adventure and always supporting my crazy ideas. can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you. i’m so thankful for our friendship. so proud of you. see you soon 🌙 go follow him, you won’t be disappointed 📸
Saying “I love you” was a big deal for us. But saying it came so naturally.
I had loved him from the beginning. Even as a friend. I looked up to him, he inspired me. I knew I was in love with him. I never thought that those words would come out of his mouth.
This story is actually kind of long, but I’ll sum it up around the term “Love.” As friends, we were having a glass of wine, sitting in front of a fire. It was a couple of days before New Years. He pulled a gift out of his pocket and handed to me. I was literally astonished and I couldn’t believe he had gotten me such a gift. He told me he was falling in love with me. I remember my heart jolting and beating so fast. I couldn’t wrap my head around it. I looked at him and he kissed me. As friends I knew that we were always weary around such a term. We have gone through our own experiences to learn enough (or at least we thought we did) to understand that love isn’t something you just mess around with. And that, we wouldn’t waste our time using the term, if we didn’t really feel that way. From then on though, it was something that we were both able to surrender ourselves to. We surrendered to this Love so blindly and so vulnerably. ♥️ .
