Raise your hand if you make your bed *every* morning! 👋🏼
I don’t feel “ready” for the day if mine isn’t, plus it just looks so much prettier this way!
Also, can we talk about the number of pillows acceptable for one bed? I believe we are up to 11 now which makes my husband crazy when he wants to sleep! 💤
Are you an everyday bed maker?
I was just talking to Kean about how I want to have people over more often, but since we don’t have a dining table we can’t do a dinner party so we should do a viewing party or a wine/beer tasting. Then I said it’s too bad there aren’t any awards shows happening. Then my mom texted and asked if I was watching the Emmys. So I’ll just go crawl back under the rock I’ve been living under 🤦🏻♀️

With all the recent chatter out there about fall decor, let’s not forget the other best part about fall: cozy cocktails! My favorite (a more recently acquired taste!): the old fashioned...with Woodford Reserve, if you were curious...Now I just need to up my game and get those big square ice-cube trays. So, what other cocktails should I learn to love this fall (I’m game for branching out!)?
It’s Friday! We are gearing up toward the official start of our school year on Monday and things are a bit hectic around here making sure everything is. In order.
It’s also the ONLY weekend we’ve had in a long time without anything on the books. I am planning to spend as much time at home as I can with the kids, enjoy the football game on Sunday and just be with the fam!
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! I’ll catch ya on Monday!💜
Our house is coming along! So exciting to watch the progress, almost daily!! If you want to follow along in the build process be sure to watch my stories, or I’ve been saving them to highlights mostly too!
Hope y’all had a great long weekend - up to anything exciting this week??
"There can be 100 people in the room and 99 don't believe in you. You just need ONE to believe in you." •
Here's a Monday shout-out to all those who uplift, encourage and cheer us on. May we never take them for granted and may we support them right back. ❤
Because that's what it's about. If I succeed, it doesn't mean you've failed. If I fail, it doesn't mean the mission was not important. Because success and failure are not the be-all-end-all, they are not what culture wants us to think they are. They aren't even exclusive from one another. Success and failure are lessons, valleys, mountaintops and ways for us to glorify God and let our lights shine.
Because God calls us all to different things. As our pastor put it yesterday: if there are 6 political positions available and 12 Christian individuals run for these positions, will 6 win? Yes. Will 6 lose? Yes. But the ones who lose can bring just as much glory and honor to God simply in the way they respond and conduct themselves. Our stories are not meant to look the same. •
As Charlotte Gambill brilliantly puts it, we are all co-authors in each other's lives. We all have our story and our part to play, and the last thing we should ever do is quit or bring down someone else because their story looks better or different than ours. United we can do so much good. Even if life seems stacked against you, if you have even one person in your corner, cheering you on and wanting the best for you, you are blessed. •
I'm thankful to my friends and family and to my tribe on here. Your encouragement and support means so much and if no one has told you thank you lately, I'm saying it now. Hearts like yours are precious, and it's God's grace that allows mine to remain soft and humble and remember that we are all in this thing together. .
Any other moms out there have to schedule their kids baths in the summer? Honestly, if you don’t think that the ocean and/or the pool counts as a “cleaning” we are not on the same wavelength😂
We have two bathrooms in our house. This one, the upstairs bath, has the deep soaker tub and the view to the backyard. Guess which one my husband and I *don’t* use!🤦🏼♀️The tub is the perfect depth for washing the babes, but since it’s also our “guest” bath we’d rather people not have to look at our toothbrushes, dirty towels and the like when they are visiting. So, we, the payers of the mortgage, the keepers of the house, the raisers of said babes - shower downstairs!😆
That being said, any recommendations on what to put in the window here to create some semblance of privacy?
