I never seem to have time for this and for some reason even begrudge going, I therefor end up with a huge assortment of unwearable clothes, with no purpose or place to go. I certainly can’t justify putting them away, or it’ll be game over. My husband calls them a pile of rubbish in the corner of my bedroom, I call them “Alterations”. Perhaps the association is in the word itself? Nonetheless, yesterday I took a huge pile to finally start working on. Everything from (see story) a vintage quilted dress which I absolutely love, but feel if the zip cut all the way down to the bottom, I would prefer the option to not only wear as a dress, but a coat too (£4 bootsale - alteration new zip £20 - total cost £24). Next up a gorgeous vintage Laura Ashley gown, pastel check silk puff sleeve Lady Di dress (very Regina Pyo) but way too long so overpowers me, (£18 ebay - alteration to shorten huge skirt £25 - total cost £43. Next, vintage heavy weight cream wool trousers (very VB) from a vintage trouser suit, again love so much as the jacket fits me perfectly, but the trousers are a 12 so just too much fabric around the hips and waist. (Suit £8 ebay - alterations £20 - £28. Etc etc. Adding fur from a craft shop onto the sleeves of a dress, shirt or jumper is a brilliant way to entirely reinvent an item of clothing. For my clients once I’ve done a wardrobe edit, alterations is ALWAYS THE NEXT STEP, I will always advice the best way to reinvent way ahead of getting rid of!! Now if you are spending a huge fortune on clothing in the first place, alterations can become quite costly, but if your resurrecting your own (unworn) wardrobe, then the damage is already done. If your’e not wearing anyway, it’s definitely worth forking out a few quid to bring it back to life. For me, finding clothing on ebay, boot-sales and charity shops is and always will be my absolute passion, ens of. So If I’m spending £4 on a coat, the £20 to put in a zip is totally and utterly worth it!
I always use Ressurection 3a Archway N19
Sometimes the weekends seem way too unstructured and I feel like I’m just reacting to things happening around me. Even though I am happy to just keep pushing along, my family likes to take it easy and I like to be with them so things need to adjust.
Here’s how I compromise:
1. I still schedule my workout early so I’m not wondering if I’ll get it in or not. Plus when I get it done before everyone wakes up its totally me-time!
2. Eat mostly healthy foods and allow myself to go with the flow we decide as a family to have a special treat. Life is meant to enjoy!
3. Get chores and work essentials done, but make sure to STOP and enjoy some hugs and fun with my family.
How are you balancing your weekend?

True FAITH in your abilities and the universe means you find a different way, Another way, MULTIPLE ways to make it work. Have a plan B, alternative route for your true passions. If you are in tune you will know if something is meant to be. Change is constant, so as entrepreneurs we need to get comfortable with adjusting and changing our methods. It’s apart of the process. You have to make the decision that you are going to complete a goal regardless of what it takes. Regardless of the odds. Be flexible in your work! Don’t take things personal when they don’t work out the first time Leave your emotions out of it! This is being disciplined. This is being aligned. This is being OPEN. This is being a boss babe! Have an awesome Friday night babes #ManifestWithMissForbes#MWMF
This will be the last pic of me with blonde hair for a little while... I made a change today and I. 👏🏻 LOVE. 👏🏻 IT. 🙌🏻
Change can be scary. Often the anticipation is far worse than the actual outcome. I was a little nervous to do what I did (sneak peek in my stories, btw 🧐) and kind of had to talk myself into it. But I am beyond happy with the result. 🤩
And even if I wasn’t thrilled with it, I know I could always make another change. That is the beauty of choices. They’re rarely permanent. Even the really big, scary ones. (Besides hair 😉). We make a choice based on the best information available, and when we gather new intel on where it’s leading us, we are always free to make another choice. Stay the course, or correct it. And repeat. .
Have you been grappling with a tough decision? Are you facing a scary change? Don’t worry about making the right or wrong decision. Decide what feels best, do it, and feel confident that you can make adjustments along the way. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this?
