These problems can be greatly alleviated by just taking 5 minutes out of your day to do some corrective exercises! Try this quick at your desk workout on your next lunch and let me know if it helps. -
3 sets each
:30 foam roller behind neck bring your arms forward to really open up your chest. Roll the foam roller up and down slowly to get those shoulders mobile. No roller? Put your palms on your desk and lean forward putting your head between your arms until you feel a good stretch. -
X10 band pull aparts-
X10 band dislocates -
X10 face pulls (sometimes you have to get creative)-
X5 each arm Around the worlds -
Finish by foam rolling you shoulders, upper, mid, lower back, and your hips. Then hit some quick stretches and get back to work!! -
Not only will this make you FEEL better. You’ll go back to work more awake and alert, ready to get after it! - -

Do something!!! I listened to 3 super informative books yesterday, and it’s interesting to see that my brain muscle (lol) is literally tired!
I took off this morning for from reading for the first time in a couple weeks. (On my 10th book in 2 weeks) I decided to listen to the birds today and laugh as I waive to my neighbors and the don’t waive back(ever except my older buddy across the street). I’m pretty sure they are convinced I lay in a hammock from 630am till they come home and resist productivity lol.
However can tell you from someone who is dying to get up and go workout, and I do stretch and walk but come on.... if you are ever unwell and limited, reading is the best supplemental exercise.
I have found life, a lot like the way I teach is about adapting. Adapt to your seasons of life and work with the flow of growth, not against!
If I were to go lift heavy weights like my body n mind want, I would tear everything. Trust me I bruise from walking. But my brain will not rip beyond recovery like my tendons. So I will continue to exercise it and grow my knowledge.
Learn to adapt! Make new challenges and landmarks for your self in the direction of growth. You deserve it, and it will pull you out of unnecessary ruts!
Well. Here is my reveal. I have decided to leave school and persue my education through Tommy Guns apprenicing me.
If I was making this choice for my biological kids it would be understood. But what people want to tell me is I am throwing my life and money away.... well. I am throwing money away. Thats just how the cookie crumbles. I look after the boys on our weeks when Trevor is at work. Because I want to. Because I missed a lot and want to be there for the rest. I tried hard. Very hard to get to school. I found an apprenticeship to balance out the school hours missed..... but in the end. It was too much. I had to give somewhere. So I gave up school. I AM very lucky to have a great shop manager and red seal barbers training me. Anyone who has done hair school knows barbering... it was a week. I am hoping to go far with this company so they invest in me. Its only been a few weeks and I am already so much more balanced and happy. It is the right choice. Cause its my choice. However... now I am a #beautyschooldropout
