What’s up, Achievers?! @jasonlpak here with a couple drills you can use to address your tight groin! Now, these stretches are for those experiencing some mild tightness or stiffness through their hips and adductors - if you’re experiencing actual pain or continuous stretching does not seem to help you should definitely go to a physical therapist or other medical professional to get it checked out. The two drills shown above are:

1️⃣ Split Stance Rocking - get on all fours and stick your left leg out to the side. Keep your chest up tall and slowly rock back toward your heels. Hold the stretch for about 2 seconds and perform 8 reps and switch sides.
2️⃣ Wide stance rocking on elbows - get on all fours, but this time drop to your elbows. Keep your chest tall and rock back towards your heels. Push your knees further out in order to intensify the stretch. Hold for two seconds and perform 8-10 repetitions.

◾️Diagonal wiring in the body means that our right shoulder works with our left hip, and vice-versa. .

◾️Starting from the 3-Mth/Baby-back position; the right arm moves down and across, it should feel like our right abdominals are driving our left hip into the floor to bring ourselves up. . (do both sides) .
.
◾️Don't lower back down fully onto the floor in between each rep - allow some useful tension to accrue in the Sling.
.
.
◾️Placing the tongue flat in the roof of the mouth will help to mechanically centrate the jaw, and to complete the oral fascial system. Doing so will also help to prevent holding of the breath, one common compensatory strategy. .

The lateral #lunges are great for the lower body for a number of reasons... it’s awesome for mobilising your hips and #adductors / #groin and of course great for building the #gluteus and hamstrings. It’s a compound movement that means it involves multiple muscles and multiple joints. 
Those who are experiencing some tightness through their hips and adductors can #gain real benefits from this movement!
Make sure you keep your torso uptight, keep your knee in line with your toes and your heels on the floor.

Today we’re (again) talking about a particular pain point for me personally: the adductors. .
My right adductor gets extremely sore and tender after every squat session, so this one is something that I have been doing pretty often.

The adductors can be a limiting factor in external rotation, which is what allows us to push the knees out at the bottom position of the squat to achieve solid depth while keeping a tight, upright torso.

Also, if you lack strength and/or ROM at the external rotators, the adductors can get recruited to help you get out of the bottom of the squat position. This is what happens to me during heavy squatting, and is the cause of the resulting stiffness in the adductors. .
This drill, when done regularly can give you some significant improvements in adductor ROM and improve your ability to squat with good depth.

Janaki came a few months back with a slip disc 😩 in her lumbar spine a few years ago. Her primary goal was strengthening 💪🏼 her back. We got her to deadlifting 60 kilos pain free 😎 but she still has a long way to go to what she can achieve (100 kilos may be one day 😊).
Since she struggles with getting the bar off the ground in sumo deadlifts, Sumo Pulses is a great exercise for her to strengthen lower body 🍑 in that range. If you also struggle with your deadlifts, throw this exercise (20 sec with weight/ 20 sec without weight/ 20 sec rest for 3 minutes straight 🔥) in for a few weeks and see what happens! #birthdaypost

WRONG it really does, don't rush into the splits 😅 #2 bathroom sinks make for fun activities but for Christs sake stretch or something first if you know whats good for ya lol #3 a serious one this time, watch your form critically- record in slow motion if need be, the slightest error in technique (be it knees buckling or a stance that isnt wide enough) can wreak havoc when you squat heavy (for me that's anything over 80kg)

I know this exercise looks easy, don’t get it twisted, it ain’t.
Disregard maintaining ground tension, TVA activation, or thoracic expansion while performing this exercise may have ya knees buckling, low back tightening up, hell ya might phuck around & break a toe😳
Lucky for me I chose to use #functionalpatterns principles to execute this movement. 
Traditional exercise systems may categorize this move as a “quad-dominant exercise” but that would be the wrong assumption, your quads should NOT be the main area of fatigue in this exercise.
My #glutes, #hamstrings, #adductors, #abs 👈🏾aaall of’em, entire thoracic musculature, #shoulders, #biceps, and #triceps are all done after several rounds of this move, I’m not talkin bout a passive fatigue either.
Isolation exercises!?, FOH with that iSht, everything done in the FP system is with the intention of getting every muscle operating optimally as it should in every  exercise, it’s called #biotensegrity.
