Acura NSX GT3 Evo Racer for 2019! 😈
Acura NSX GT3 Evo Racer Looks Even More Sinister For 2019!
Extensively updated for the racing season ahead, the new NSX GT3 Evo features a redesigned bodywork designed to reduce drag for higher top speeds, improve cooling of the mechanical components underneath, and enhance balance and drivability. The turbochargers are also new, and promise better throttle response and fuel efficiency, a crucial factor in endurance racing. The antilock brakes are also new, as are the interior electronics, all of which adds up to improved performance and lower running costs, according to the manufacturer.
The engine and chassis for the GT3 racer are built alongside those of the street version in Ohio before being completed for competition duty by JAS Motorsport in Italy. Thus far it’s won races in the Pirelli World Challenge and in the GTD class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. With the revised model and its improvements, many of which can be retrofitted to existing cars, Honda hopes to capture more podiums and wins and maybe even challenge for championship titles in racing series around the world.
Via @ngoansx: The NSX (in North America) came in two different yellows. Spa Yellow (pictured here) was introduced in 1997 and continued until 2003 with 331 examples made. From 1997-2001 most had black / onyx interior with the exception of 6 having tan interior (yikes!). Starting in 2002, Vivid Yellow was offered for the interior and from 2004-2005 Rio Yellow Pearl was the exclusive NSX Yellow with only 53 examples built of which 14 had the Vivid yellow interior. Rio Yellow Pearl has a super rich tone with a beautiful sparkle with similar characteristics to Imola Orange Pearl. Yellow on yellow is a combination that is generally overlooked but with such low quantities of the 2004-2005, it definitely deserves the attention. I’ll focus on the 2004-2005 in a different post as they are pretty unique and super rare. What are your thoughts on yellow / yellow? #jdm#honda#acura#nsx#usdm#yellow#banana#acuransx Photo: @acura
