My grandma had constant right knee pain and her foot was numb that she was unable to move her toes to get them into her slipper. She was initially diagnosed with gouty arthritis, was prescribed Colchicine, but after a few months was told it was because of varicose veins then. Last night, with acupuncture, she was able to wear the slipper in just a minute after the treatment. 💚 #acupuncture#gaea#holistichealth#painmanagement

O Fisioterapeuta.
▪️Entender o TODO faz TODA diferença. Questione sempre!

VULVODYNIA | Is it thrush? Is it a UTI? Nope it's Vulvodynia. This is a COMMON condition (that's not often talked about) that affects the vulva that isn't linked to a specific cause in western medicine. ⠀
It's commonly characterised by pain, burning, stinging, rawness, soreness and understandably mistaken for other conditions with similar synptoms such as thrush and UTI's however there are no bacteria/virus/infections active in this condition. ⠀
As nothing shows up in any lab testing many women with Vulvodynia are told the pain they are experiencing is all in their head. Their pain is minimised and not believed or validated. ⠀
16% of women will experience vulvodynia at some point in their lives, however 75% of women feel too ashamed/embarassed to talk about it and suffer in silence. ⠀
Let's raise awareness and break the stigma!⠀
My beautiful friend @peacewithpain has an amazing account sharing her experience with Vulvodynia if you are wanting more information on this topic. And it makes me super happy to know that she has experienced so much relief using acupuncture to help her pain! (This is something we see often in clinic!)⠀
If this is something you are experiencing and are frustrated with lack of answers - don't be afraid to reach out! ♥️♥️♥️⠀

We're delighted to welcome Jane Wood to our team of therapists!
Jane is an Acupuncturist and is now available to treat patients here at The Serenity Centre.
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine dating back thousands of years. It can be used to treat a myriad of health conditions by stimulating the body’s own healing responses, often by making a change in biochemistry.

Don’t forget to eat your brunch! According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, our digestion is strongest in the late morning making a nice and big late breakfast/brunch is the most important meal of the day!
As I have been preparing for our NSEV Community’s first ever year long advanced clinical training I have deeply felt the presence of these three beautiful souls who were all such blessings to our NSEV Healing Clinical Community.
The pain of Ray Garner’s tragic passing is still quite fresh and this dear gentle man will be dearly missed during our training. Ray was one of the up and comers in NSEV Healing. He asked very few questions but when he did they were important and deep. As I prepare for this advanced training I am being guided by some of his beautiful and profound questions. Ray was also a gifted Qi Gong practitioner as well. I miss his humble, solid, healing presence terribly. Eileen Larkin & Kay Preston were important pioneers in the earliest development of NSEV Healing & Acupuncture in the mid 1990’s. .All these years later I can still feel Eileen’s presence as she vigorously nodded up and down with approval or side to side with disapproval as I spoke. She was my Wood buddy and very important and honest mirror for me in those early days . She was fiercely dedicated and passionate about the work we were evolving together. Her contributions to the development of our educational and clinical materials are still in use today. I hope she is happy with the direction NSEV Healing has taken since her passing.Kay’s angelic presence came and went all too quickly in our community. Her murder in 2002 was a devastating loss to me personally and to everyone in our NSEV Healing community. Kay’s every move was a dance and she provided invaluable insight to the development of and our understanding of the gaits and the therapeutic use of movement in NSEV Healing. Kay was the first non-acupuncturist to really get the work we were doing with the Extraordinary Vessels and it is in large part because of her that NSEV Healing has been shared with such a wide spectrum of the healing arts community. Kay remains one of the kindest and gentlest people I have ever met and I often feel her presence in the gentle wind and wildflowers. 🙏 #nsevhealing#community#acupuncture#massage#taiji#yoga#breathe#friendship#grateful#blessed#healing#soundhealing#aromatherapy#lifecoach
***Testimonial*** Trigeminal Neuropathy - “I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuropathy and I was in extreme pain. Doctors told me I would have this condition for life, and basically to deal with it, I was given gavapentin which eased it slightly but gave me terrible side effects. After reading reviews my husband booked me in for an appointment with Tracy, I was very sceptical and said to her, what are you going to do to help me?, after just 2 treatments with Tracy my symptoms eased dramatically and I am now completely pain free and off ALL my medication.
I attend acupuncture sessions with Tracy every 3-4 weeks just to help keep it from reoccurring. Tracy is a miracle worker and I enjoy my sessions with her, I would recommend Buddha therapies to anybody in severe pain it really does work” Mrs B
So much so my client visited the pain clinic after the pain had gone advised by her GP and when she went she was told that the acupuncture didn’t help her get better, and her condition will never leave her, whilst having her treatments with me she got pregnant 🙈, she actually said did you do this 🤣, and the specialist told her that it was the baby who made her pain go away, she told him “but the pain went before I got pregnant?”, he said to her that she hadn’t grieved for her pain properly and that she should be on antidepressants as he has been on them for 10 years !!! After calling him a Gobs***e 🙈🤣, she left and didn’t return !!!

🔥❄️ Hot and cold therapy is advised when a new injury is causing inflammation and possibly swelling. How it works is cold compress helps to decrease the blood flow to the injury, thereby decreasing inflammation and swelling. Then using heat it encourags the blood back to the area and promote healing. We suggest this therapy for patients who are too acute to start treatment. This therapy helps to calm the acute area before treatment. For more information click on our link in bio.
