I got some sad news this morning that my Gran had passed away 😢 While she wasn’t in the best of health, this phone call certainly was not expected and was quite a shock. I am still processing this news, and while I am heartbroken that Bella will never get to meet her Great Gran and I will never get to see her again, I am taking comfort in the fact that I am sure she is much more at peace than she has been of late.

The series - Double leg bridge, Single leg bridge lifting to table top, Bridge marches. •
How to 🛠 - Set up with straps looped just above the knees, straps sitting underneath. Set up in a long alignment, so ankles are below the knee and hands below the shoulders as you press up into the bridge. Maintain core activity as you begin the double leg bridge, pressing the hips up towards the ceiling by squeezing into the 🍑. In single leg, press up with only one leg, simultaneously lifting the other into table top *Focus on pressing the opposite hip to the work leg up towards to ceiling to keep hips level. Maintain hip alignment holding in your back bridge and finish with your marches, keeping the lower core active to avoid over-activity of the hip flexors! •

I talked about this on my story a couple days ago but want to share it here too. I am amazed at how much my body has changed over this past year. Ever since January, I have been sticking to workout programs consistently. Whatever workout calendar I was on, I did it all the way through without missing a day. If for some reason I had to miss a workout, I would make sure to complete it on a rest day. I have stuck with a #noexcuses mindset and I can completely tell a difference in my body. I feel and look strong. The time that I notice the biggest change is when I mess around with headstands and handstands. My core is stronger, my arms are stronger and my mind is stronger. Fitting a 30 min workout into my 13 hour work days is easy, staying consistent with my workout routine is easy now. I have stayed consistent for so long that it became a way of life.
What's not easy? Nutrition. I have to WORK at this every.single.day. The day's when I am home by myself or when I am at work- those aren't as difficult. But when #mitch is home or when I am hanging out with friends; I like to enjoy good food together. And when I say good food I mean pretzels, beer & pizza. Throughout this year, I have been through trial & error with my eating. But I have finally found what works for me. I know exactly what to eat to make my body feel and look how I want it to. And I know exactly what makes it feel not so hot either. It is so nice KNOWING my body. I love working for a company that teaches proper nutrition, that teaches you cereal is okay to eat (haha), that teaches you that you don't have to count your macro's to be healthy, that teaches you a sustainable meal plan that is focused on fueling your body. They have given me food freedom.
I hope that I am able to share what I have learned the past year with each of you. It takes time and dedication to yourself, but I am telling you it's the most liberating feeling when you have your exercise and nutrition down.
