Pancakes for breakfast, lunch or dinner?! There are no rules and these are so delicious you will want to eat them all day everyday! Pancakes don’t have to be unhealthy. Here’s the recipe for when you can’t resist your craving:
Choc Almond Pancakes
1/2 cup of almond meal
1/3 cup of buckwheat flour
2 tablespoons of cacao powder
1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon of organic baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 egg (I prefer a flax egg which is 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed and 3 tablespoons of water. Leave to sit for ten minutes prior to using)
1/2 cup of almond milk (you can also use coconut milk)
Coconut oil for frying
1. In a bowl, mix the almond and buckwheat flours, cacao, baking powder and salt
2. Pour in the milk followed by the flax egg (or egg) whilst mixing the batter
3. Add the maple syrup and stir until mixture is well combined
4. Heat a frying pan with coconut oil over medium heat
5. When the oil is heated, pour in the batter to create a pancake of your desired size. If you’re using a large pan add batter to make additional pancakes ensuring they don’t touch
6. Cook for a few minutes, until bubbles start to appear on the top of the batter and then flip and cook for an additional few minutes. Remove from the pan and continue until you have used remaining batter
7. Top with your favourites. I love to top with coconut, berries, a little maple syrup and raw peanut butter from @thesourcebulkfoods

Workout of the Week: Pyramid Set
This workout is perfect to slot into your busy day. It will get your heart up as well as fatigue your muscles to build strength 💪🏻👌🏻
One exercise in this workout is pull-ups if you can find something either at a local park or home eg the The Bella Fit Ladies are using bike racks at Narrabeen Lagoon to perform Pull-ups.
* Using a bar two to three feet from the ground, lie under it, face up, with your body forming a straight line from your heels to the back of your head.
* Grip the bar (overhand) with your hands positioned a little wider you’re your shoulders.
* Pull your chest up to the bar.
There is an alternative provided if you haven’t got access to be able to perform these pull-ups. #motivatedmums

So what if we’re getting stronger if we’re not becoming more loving and compassionate people 🧐? Are we so focused on our goals we stop noticing others around us? Where do our priorities lie? Do we forget what’s really important sometimes? How do we manage our time?
It's totally different if you're a professional athlete of course. But for people like me, a hobby crossfitter and lifter, the question of balance is a big one. Time is a commodity and we can invest it in various things. Where it's invested, there it will bring a return- whether it's career or fitness or family or other relationships.
The ‘lift more, love more’ idea was a bit of a naive (but aren’t they all?) new year resolution I made last year. To continue growing and enjoying this odd unexpected hobby I found 🏋🏻♀️😍☺️ but also to become a bit more switched on to the needs of others, to cultivate relationships with people (not my forte!) a bit better than I have done in the past ... Have I succeeded? Well I can definitely see room for improvement in both areas 🤷🏻♀️! I might just have to carry this resolution on and into 2019 ;-) . One can never have too much lifting or love anyway so 😉...

Some sport i enjoyed as a kid. My sports though were more water based like sailing etc. I never thought i would ever do something that would get a gold medal. At the tender age of 43 however i have achieved some sporting glory at a national level. Releasing your inner #champion
Life gives you many teachers. This is Andy and Phil. They were my vice captain and captain of my team. They made me feel really welcome and gave me heaps of really good advice. I now consider both of them friends. We won gold... yay

This is @freediveinstructor he is someone who has become a friend. Freediving is an amazing discipline that teaches you mental strength.(and improves your ability to dive. He helped all of my children achieve a 20m depth dive. He ran a session for us on breathing for underwater hockey that was amazing.
