Two Exercises to Include in Your Squat Warm Up
Here are two simple exercises you can include in your warm up to improve hip stability and knee joint stabilisation. This can in turn, improve overall mechanics and lead to efficient movement.
In particular, if you struggle with knee caving during the squat, these exercises will be very helpful.
Remember, the aim of doing these exercises is to activate the lateral glutes, not to pre fatigue them. If being used as a warm up, 1-2 sets of 30 sec isometric squat holds and 1-2 sets of 10 lateral band walks each way should be enough.
Isometric Squat Holds - Asume a quarter squat stance, ensure the knee is maintained in line with the toes and the hips are kept level. Drive the knees out into the belt to gold a constant contraction in the lateral glutes.
Lateral Band Walks - Assume a quarter squat stance with the knees in line with the toes. Drive with the outside leg to take a lateral step, follow with the trail leg and repeat. Keep your hips as level as you can during the movement and try not to bounce up and down or sway side to side.

Struggling to fire that ass up?🔥🔥🔥 Here are some activation drills I followed prior to my hamstring and Glute session today. I always start of with some mobility and movement, then I move onto activation.
Today I performed; 🤩
-Glute activation (kickbacks, fire hydrants and Glute bridge with abduction)
-Hamstring activation (Banded RDL)
-Core activation (Deadbug)
Not many people are aware of the importance of activating muscles. It does not only help in better coordination of our mind and brain, but also results in the strengthening of our body.
There might be some situations when you aren’t getting the desired results from the workouts or when your body and mind aren’t functioning the way they should due to periods of non-use. This is because your muscles aren’t pre-activated and hence, not functioning properly. They require some sort of activation to function properly and produce best results.
IF IT ISN'T ACTIVE IT WON'T GROW! Remember that before you train a muscle group.
