This is kind of a different and longer post than I usually make, talking about goals I achieved. So feel free to enjoy the photo and skip 😉
I have never been someone who enjoyed doing sports or moving. In fact, I hated it, the idea of getting sweaty and sore just because you can. This does not mean I don't do it when I have to get in shape as I climbed mountains and did multiday hikes before.
Rewind to February, where I (finally) decided it was time to get moving again as I was starting to get chubby and also happen to have a hiking trip planned in August.
The first days of running and taking long walks felt terrible. Sore muscles, being outside during cold winter days, quitting crossed my mind several times.
But am I glad I decided not to, and stop complaining and just go for it. Now, 6 months later, I'm really happy with the results and am totally ready to climb some mountains again! Being outdoors walking or running is now my nr 1 way of losing stress, something I never expected when I started! This time, it's something I will continue, knowing how I felt before getting in shape and how I feel now!
And now some stats because I'm allowed to brag 😉
-My weight dropped from 87kg to 74kg (I'm 1.90m).
-I can run at a decent speed without running out of breath
-Walking 20km a day feels easy. -Because I always trained outdoors, I actually got a tan for once.
-The muscles between my knee en foot (whatever they are called)look huge to me!

Success comes from small, hard working efforts. It doesn’t happen all at one time. It’s challenging. The road can get lonely because there's an emotional price to pay when you’re on that path. People will think that you don't need to change who you are, what you want to do. They’ll give you that look like you're not getting anywhere. Some of them will start ignoring you because they feel like you’re acting better than them. Negative comments and poor behaviors like that can throw you off course. It will make you doubt yourself. It will make you want to go back and convince them that you’re still the same person...even to the point that you’ll even revert back to what they want you to be like. Immediately shake it off! Remember, they don't live your life! YOU live your life. If you know in your heart that the choices you make will lead you successfully towards a better, healthier, and happier life, than that's what matters, that’s your focus. Yeah it hurts that they don’t catch your vibe but what can you do? You can’t change people. Just surround yourself with like minded people, those who are supportive in your journey and those who are they’re to provide encouraging advice. They are your armor to keep you growing and glowing ...and succeeding through life. #positivevibe#mythoughts

So BIGGGGGG UPDATE : I have updated my bio !!! IM NOW 131lbs !!!!!! I’m so proud!!! I’ve lost 9lbs since my last weigh in which blows my mind ... this is an amazing achievement because it makes me feel like I’m more getting towards my “healthy weight” and I can’t wait to keep going !!! For the next 4 weeks I’m planning on doing a @blogilates 28 day reset so I will be updating you with that soon !!! I just want to point out I don’t loose weight according to the scale because I don’t want to obsess over numbers so I usually don’t weigh myself at all ... but every six months it’s nice to see how far I have come !!! Also guys these are my new nike trainers and flask for the hot summer months (keeps my drink cold !!!) •
Expectations are dangerous. They can trigger negative reactions if they are not met. When people do not live up to our expectations, we become angry, bitter, depressed and it throws off our focus. We spend so much time on how someone did not do or act how we expected that we tend to lose ourselves in the process. Our focus should be on growing and developing ourselves. We should be focused on our self-care and accomplishing our desired goals. I have found on my journey people will let you down. They will not always come through like they promise. And... When they didn't come through, I would become so emotional. Yes I get mad and angry and sometimes I just need to take a break from reality. But, my reaction to them not living up to my expectations just held me back. I have learned that you cannot control the thoughts and actions of others, but... You cannot expect people to do what you would do. You cannot expected people to feel how you feel or understand what you are going through. Its time to place your expectations on achieving your desired goals and not on people. Set high expectations on the person you should love and care for the most... YOU. People will let u down, they are not perfect. Sometimes we expect too much out of people. Have you thought that their expectations are set on their own expectations for their own achievement which is why they did not meet yours? Some may call this selfish and it might be, but there is nothing wrong with being a little selfish when it comes to taking care of you. High expectations can lead to anger and resentment. Do not allow expectations to make you bitter, use expectations for self achievement to make you better.
