“Trypophobia” 10 in. X 10 in. Ballpoint pen, ink, colored pencil, thread ———————————————-
This piece began as two separate pieces. I had the background from a relaxing day playing with water color and ink, and I had the portrait on yupo paper (literally the smoothest paper ever!) While going through my portfolio I threw the two pieces of paper on the table next to each other. I got the idea to cut the portrait out and sew it onto the water color piece. So, that’s what I did. Combining the two pieces physically was both relaxing and very euphoric. To see a complete piece come together with each stitch I added was a feeling unlike any other. I love the high contrast of this piece.
Simply titled "Danni"
This marks the first time I've given one of my paintings a name.
Since moving to LA I've seen first hand how amazing an truly inspirational human beings can be to one another.
Unfortunately I've also witnessed the very cruel and heartless savage side the devil can bring out in others.
This piece is to remind people ans make them aware of the domestic abuse that still goes on in our society an to continue to teach our youth that Its never ever ok to hit a woman. Under any circumstances.
I'll necer forget tue butt whoopin' my Mother gave me after age found out I bagged a wooden spoon on the neighbor's daughter's head after she started playing with my G.I.Joes. Lets just say I never did it again.
Its a lot better being a lover then a fighter anyway 😉 #laartdistrict#laart#laartscene#laartist#abstractportrait#stopdomesticviolence
