Such a moody snap haha, realising I’m dig my new b/w presets.
I have a heap load of editing work to get done over this coming week of my own stuff plus for my clients. Fun times ahead.
Hope y’all are swell,
under the moonlight
with my woodbines lit
starring at the stars
I wonder- what if.
what if it would have
what if it wouldn’t
what if I had and hadn’t
waving it all goodbye
it’s all buried
i could swear that’s true- all since a by gone
but how does one discard
the memories embossed in the torn, tattered, crumpled parts? - another commission where by darkness and solitude was to be central to the painting.
This is for you, hope you like it 🌸
Moonlit Woodbine, 2018
30 cm x 40 cm
Acrylic on canvas
i’d like to jump out of my skin from time to time
to find my share of solace.
impulses almost rip my sanity, the overflow, i am most certain can be seen by the blue, hazel, brown, black, kohled
the veiled and the unveiled
eyes around me
their gaze, creep up my spine
from the corner of my eye, i see
i know, for a fact that they despise me
in my head i scream and explain
out of it, I shudder with anxiety. - I got commissioned by this wonderful human being to paint, borderline personality disorder. This one is for you🌸
30 cm x 40 cm, oil and acrylic on canvas
Thought I would share some of my meanderings and explorations from last springs artist residency at the @ragdale_foundation. This piece was started there. I did a “rubbing” of the ash remains just after a controlled burn. I scanned the rubbing. When I returned home I cut out a circle from the actual ash rubbing and collaged it to the piece. I did so much experimenting and have yet to figure out where it will all lead. Given that #shootapoolza is such a process orientated group, I thought I’d share this. More to come. This is @janefultonalt posting for the week. #ash#ashstudy#blackandwhite#ashestoashes#experimenting#abstract#abstraction#collage#collageart#afterthefires#whatremains
