Internships are where higher education meets employment; they allow students to gain experience working in an organisation while studying at university. They can be paid or unpaid and allow you to work in an organisation for a set period, which could be anything from one intensive week, to interning once a week for twelve months.

The emergence of human security as a paradigm that not only further develops but also challenges the long ago established concept of national security, has been one of the most needed and significant ‘arrivals’ to the saturated with vulnerabilities world we are all part of. What is more, it has been an arrival to life itself.

Our climate on Earth has been subject to significant change throughout history. As per recent NASA statements, just in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the last ice age about 7,000 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era — and of human civilization.
Formal education is the organized, guided by a formal curriculum, leads to a formally recognized credential such as a high school completion diploma or a degree, and is often guided and recognized by government at some level.
Organized (even if it is only loosely organized), may or may not be guided by a formal curriculum. This type of education may be led by a qualified teacher or by a leader with more experience.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others. — Marianne Williamson
Thank you #abroadship for this tough but incredible 8 day hiking and wild camping experience in Scotland, Isle of Sky... I have no words to express how grateful I feel 🙏🏼 #erasmusplus#youthexchange#hiking#scotland#isleofskye#wildcamping#nonformaleducation#stepintheirshoes#johnmuir
this is our home, our planet 🌍
and sometimes we don’t realise that we’ve made it look this way. beautiful Scotland, one of the most popular hiking destinations. lots of green grass and sheeps. but not everyone knows, that some time ago most of its territory, its mountains and valleys were covered with forests, that were home for variety of wild animals, wolfs, for example. But people destroyed it, the last wolf was killed, and the last tree was cut. oh, I’m mistaken, there are still some trees left, but Scotland doesn’t really care, they are making a big business on it, and most of what you buy in IKEA is made of Scottish woods. in a week spend there I’ve met lots of sheeps, some rabbits and that’s it. there is always another side behind beauty.
one more thing to know about Scottish hiking adventures - Bothies
small houses situated in the most beautiful locations. they were abandoned a long time ago and now are used by adventurers as a place for sleepovers. it’s warm and really cozy inside, and the view from most of them is just incredible. and the best thing is that they are completely free and everyone can stay there. this one is on very north of the Isle of Skye, while there are hundreds of them and you can google the map with them and find out top 10 of them.
I think this is great thing if the weather conditions are not the best and you don’t feel like wild camping next night.
A breath taking week of meeting brilliant people, hiking and hitchhiking (along with an unexpected phone break - hense the stolen pictures). It was over all too soon but will always be remembered,
More stolen pics to come possibly.. #healthyhabits#abroadship#london
Adventure and freedom are out there waiting for you
You are not going to find it in a classroom
You are not gonna find it in a person
You are not gonna find it in some material staff
You are gonna find it in the wilderness that is waiting for you to discover it
