Lots of adventures, lots of new friends turned fAAmily and the most life changing experiences. From today vs our first flight, 18-12 crew on a 737 after FOI for the first time (we killed it), brining your boyfriend to work training in MIA (we miss you Rob!) and random Philly nights. It has been an amazing ride and I couldn’t be more thankful for every part of it. I have the best job ever. Weeeee made it, officially off probation....congratulations and go us, 18-12!!! Special shout out to my 3 favorite humans for more love and support anyone could dream of @sefrank24 @kimmyfrank and Geraldo ❤️ #aastews#flightattendant#flightattendantlife#ilovemyjob
So many good looking #cowboys and cowgirls on this flight to #lasvegas today!! They were all nice enough to let me get a picture of them holding their hats high! And you still can’t even see half of them!! #aastews @americanair #aa2599
Life is so quick, Life happens before our eyes in seconds. And everything can change when you least expect it. ✈️ —Today I picked up a trip on my off day to do what our senior mommas call a Austin shuffle, get in the high time hours for the day and be back home by 6. Got my Starbucks coffee regular routine, boarded the plane, we had a light snowfall in nyc, so we had the usual protocol de icing causing a slight delay, but then we took off... We had a light passenger load which is refreshing around the holidays... we were just about to begin our service when I heard the four chimes, my number 2 answered the phone and I waited what felt like the longest 50 seconds of my life, the pilot had informed us we were doing an emergency landing —begin our 20 min planned emergency checklist. This was happening. This is was what we were trained for. I had to pick my two able body passengers, I had to brief them on how to take care of my door if I couldn’t. And how to safely exit the plane. We had to go thru and show every passenger their brace positions. Everything was happening so quick. My crew was phenomenal, my jumpseat partner and I went thru and did our reviews together and had our moment, but this was happening. I didn’t have my WiFi connected or really anytime but seconds before landing, I got out a few I love you texts. They always talk about what you think about before things could go wrong but you never know, who or what flashes into your mind, did you say it, I love you?
We landed safely, and we were greeted with lights flashing everywhere all the fire trucks, ambulance you name it were there on the runway. It was handled so well, and I was so thankful for all the individuals involved. We were removed from our trip and off until further notice and have a meeting.
So, why do I share all this — it’s a reminder to you and myself life is too short and you don’t know what will happen when you wake up in the morning, live with no regrets, dont put things off, say how you feel, cherish your loved ones every single day. Every moment matters. Because just like that life flashes before our eyes.
About one year ago, I decided to retire my wings 🦋 It has been a CRAZY year since then, my life has changed so much and I've accomplished so much in the last year. I was lucky enough to meet some amazing people when I was flying; people that I'll cherish forever. I learned so much about myself from being a flight attendant. It gave me the strength and the confidence to pursue my real passion, it truly helped me to be fearless ✈️ I will forever be grateful for this experience. Cheers to new adventures 🥂#aastews#oneyearlater

The #snowballexpress was so much fun to work! I'm so glad I got the opportunity to work this flight. The kids were so amazing and we had a good time. Shout out to little Ava who did the beverage service with me like a pro! It went by way too fast. @aastews @blackflightattendantsusa @aviatorsofcolor @flightattendantsofcolor #crewlife#aastews#flightattendantlifestyle#christmas ✈️🎄☃️🎁🎅🏾🤶🏾
Aren’t you glad that seasons change? 6 months ago today, I woke up at my new base in Washington, D.C. after moving across the country to start my career as a flight attendant.
Honestly, I was nervous to let go of the way my comfortable life had always been. I was worried that leaving Southern California meant leaving family and friends and beautiful weather. I was afraid that starting a career (even though it was an amazing one that I was extremely grateful for) meant letting go of my time, hobbies, and passions. I wondered if it would be stressful to be on my own, paying my own bills and getting around a big city without a car. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But my life began to change dramatically when I started to let go of the “comfortable” things that were holding me back.
The challenging aspects of it have made me realize that this move was one of the best things that’s ever happened to me. Starting my career made me realize how important it is to manage my time well and be flexible when things are out of my control. Living on my own is teaching me how to budget my money and take my @arbonne business more seriously. Moving away from all of my family and friends has been pretty lonely at times, but it’s caused me to step out of my comfort zone to meet new people and find a church community.
I’ve realized that the things I once found my identity and worth in pale in comparison to the identity I have as a daughter of the King. And through it all, God has proven to me over and over again that he makes ALL things work together for my good: every circumstance, every dumb decision, every mistake. I can’t even believe how blessed my life is in so many areas where I felt so lost even 6 months ago. All because I let go of things I was holding onto too tightly and allowed God to lead me while listening to the wise advice of people who love me.
Sometimes I wake up and wonder how this is actually my life. And I thank God for telling me to replace the comfortable with the crazy and for reminding me that only in His economy does letting go of everything result in Him providing more than enough.
• S O A R • Put your wings on & let’s go soaring. Feel freedom fly through your wings.
Alrighty, I got a few things to address: • -First off, CONGRATS 18-12 for making it through the first 6 months of being a flight attendant!! 😆 It was epic, challenging, maybe even a little scary, but overall amazing & I’m so glad we’ve all been there for each other. Getting this job has been WILD, being the super heroes of the sky in a metal can with wings 😂 we’ve all grown & gone through so much & I cannot wait to continue to see what the future holds. Never stop SOARING ♥️ • -Second, does anyone see the person dancing in this picture? Looking like they’re holding either ribbons or a giant flag waving? If not, tell me what you see!! 😍✨ • -Third & last: Most of you have probably noticed my posts lately being about people, love like subjects. This was a bit of a series I did due to things I’ve experienced over the years & in recent times if I’m being honest. But I want you to know, I shared on here to encourage you that even through these painful experiences, you still have so much to gain from these times in life. Believe me, what becomes broken becomes brand new, being your weaknesses, your fears, & all things that consume you. They get broken to be made into strengths, your wishes, and what shields you. You just gotta be faithful & trust in the process, trust the climb, the swim, the flight. You will get through them all, you’ll soar through this pain & blossom into something amazing. Just let it work it’s magic 🎆 #flight#life#aastews#wings#life#truth#class18_12#americanairlines#brokenmadenew#new#sunset#iphone8plus
Had the honor of volunteer for my first Snowball Express flight and serve the children of fallen military heroes❤️🇺🇸
What a pleasure was it to help create magic for these families and see the smile on the kids. So grateful to have had the opportunity to bring cheer this holiday and honor all the sacrifices and heroism of their fallen family members in protecting our nation.
ABOUT SNOWBALL EXPRESS: “In 2017, Snowball Express became an official Gary Sinise Foundation program. They are committed to maintaining the wonderful traditions while finding new and exciting ways to serve our families of the fallen. Each December, they host a five-day experience for 1,750+ children of the fallen and their surviving parent or guardian. As a therapeutic retreat with a blend of fun and inspiring programs, these families can lean on their peers for support. And this year we’re bringing Snowball Express to Walt Disney World® Resort! No matter where these families are in the grieving process, we hope to inspire them to believe anything is possible. By providing guilt-free fun and beneficial resources in a stress-free environment, we’re creating a community to learn, grow, and make lasting memories with new friends.” #snowballexpress#americanairlines#aa#aastews#garysinisefoundation#christmas#volunteer#crew#holiday#skyangels#aviation#travel#flightattendant#american#usa#pride#honor#grateful#bless
