Avete consigli? Attendo i vostri consigli preziosi! 🙏🏻📖

Thank you so much !
I’ve started this new thing where on Sundays I cook a nice big lunch and then everyone has a popcorn/snack dinner. I love getting to do a yummy mid-day meal and then just spending the evening with each other instead of in the kitchen! Today after church, I made a zucchini corn casserole and it is seriously so yummy!! The corn and zucchini give it fresh, summertime flavor and by being mindful with the ingredients, you can eat a comforting casserole and actually enjoy it too 🤗🙌😍 Bonus: there’s enough leftover for a second meal and lunch for hubs! Want the recipe??
Progress over perfection 💫 Doing these less than perfect poses in front of a bunch of people at the park was something I’m glad I pushed myself to do. There are so many amazing yogis who can bend and stretch their bodies to do amazing things- I’m not there yet. But I’m enjoying the journey and accepting it as my own. Should we do a #yogachallenge for the average person? Who’s not a well seasoned yogi but still enjoying the practice? Let me know your thoughts in the comments. 📸 by blogger babe @msjasminerose
Annddd we’re off!! Leaving this morning with the kiddos and headed to Broken Bow for our family vacay💃🏼😄 Still nursing the toe, but I’m not going to let it get me down!! Plans include hiking, boating, fishing, zip lining, cookouts, exploring and lots of r&r🎣🌲🚣🏼♀️☀️Can’t wait!!
I love waking up early and having a moment to myself to meditate 🧘♀️ and do Astanga yoga before my kids wake up and all the hustle and bustle of the day starts.
As a busy moms and dads it is so important to take a moment to yourself and remember to take time for yourself also.
I would love to hear in the comments what YOU like to do when you take breaks as a busy mom or dad?
Spending some time taking care of myself this weekend. Making myself a priority! Sometimes we forget or we put ourselves last, especially us mommas. I have a few things weighing heavy on me (trying to sell my father’s car & getting our home appraised, finally getting close to settling my father’s estate with my siblings after his unexpected death back in November. I haven’t been too vocal on my battles but this has been a huge one for me. I’m practicing being more open and vulnerable. I have an interview Tuesday for another position within my current company. After, I’m take off to Mexico to pick up my daughter and go on a 2 week adventure for her birthday. She’s been with her grandparents all summer and I’m beyond ready to see her!) I have an anxious feeling in my stomach and have noticed I’m holding my breath a bit when feeling the pressure of life weighing down. Especially with all the uncertainty of what my life will look like in the next few months. We have these plans in our head of how things “should” look and when things don’t go according to plan we experience a wide range of mostly negative emotions. I’m trying to TRUST that there’s a far bigger plan for my life than I could ever imagine. KNOW that I will be taken care of, as I always have. Be GRATEFUL even for my challenges (and challenging people) because they push me out of my comfort zone and when we’re pushed out of our comfort zone, we experience growth. Trying to be PRESENT. I say this all👏the👏time👏. We can experience depression when we live in the past, anxiety when our minds go to the future. Reminding myself to RELAX and BREATHE. Life is good. Thankful for my Yoga practice!
What are some challenges going on in your life? What can you let go of to free up space for new things? Physical or emotional. We are all connected and usually feeling the same energy. Holding it all inside. Sharing can be freeing. You’re not alone. I’m here for you, fam. How are you taking care of yourself this weekend? 💚
I’ll teach my regular Monday classes tomorrow but will have a sub while I’m gone. I’ll return to class on 8/1.
P.S. If you don’t know about that King Spa life, HMU!
