I got to experience my first chair yoga class today and it was quite fascinating. I think my shoulders appreciated the gentleness of chair yoga, because they have been bothering me more than usual the past couple days.
Day 21 #yogafeels
Waking up early can suck...unless you are stoked for the day! We love the quiet of the morning, which allows the body time to adjust and prepare for something great.
This was the sky we woke up to in Caste, Italy the morning we hiked the Cinque Terre. Coffee also helped get us in shape for a great day.
What are you planning to crush this weekend? 🌲🏋️♀️🌞
요가 잘하고싶은 욕심은 끝이 없는데...
게을러서 연습을 멀리하니 발전이 없다.
진심 오랫만에 요가원 출동.
I have a high desire to improve my yoga skill however I don’t practice everyday.
That’s why my yoga skill never go anywhere.
Day 5 #EmbodyThePriestess
Warrior Pose/Mars Mythology
Mantra: 'I Act'
Rules: Aries, Tuesdays
Physical symbol being a shield and spear. Mars is the God of War... Mars is masculine energy. Assertive, action-oriented. It's your stamina, drive, motivation and aggression.
In Greek mythology he was one of the most commonly worshipped deities. Early on Mars was a fertility god, over time expanding to battle and war. Energy best used for strength, defense, physicality, stamina. The position of Mars in your Natal chart will tell a lot about your personality and what drives you, your motivation..for me Mars is in Cancer,(7th house opposing Neptune and Uranus) some of the traits making me protective and nurturing to my family and loved ones. Big emotions...Driven by my loved ones, partnerships, spirituality, creativity. Can get restless, has a lot of ideas, energy, need to focus on where to channel energy for self motivation.. 🔥 #warriortwo#embodythepriestess#YoginiPriestess#FeminineRising#autumnequinox#witchesheal#letshealtheworld#instagramchallenge#priestesswork#divinefeminine#healers#yoga#priestesspath#yogachallenge#spiritual#divine#women#tribe#womenincircle#awakening#youareagoddess

Backbends and video editing! These are two topics I’ve had loads of questions about recently, so here it goes:
1. BACKBENDS: these are the first full wheel and forearm wheel I’ve done in a long time (for me!). At least 10 weeks. They felt uncomfortable for me in the last few weeks of my pregnancy, so I stopped. And since, I’ve been waiting for my core to be ready. Because safe backbends need a lot of core: you want to be lifting up through your entire front body, not dumping into your joints or spine.
And how did I know my core was ready? Firstly, I waiting for 6 weeks post-partum. Then I got checked by a women’s physio who confirmed I had no ab separation (aka diastasis recti) and that my pelvic floor and deep TVA muscles were working properly. And lastly, I spent a week actually using all of those muscles (full chaturanga, plank, knee-to-elbow) so I could be sure myself.
Given how long it’s been and how much time you spend scrunched over as a new and breastfeeding mum, it’s amazing to me that my shoulder and back are so open. What’s even more interesting is how tight my quads and hip flexors are (do you see how square I am in my lower body?). Lots to work on!
2. VIDEO EDITING! These videos are my first using “Perfect Video”. The ones I normally use to speed up and cut my videos are called TiltShiftVideo and Slow Fast. I record normally using my iPhone (propped up in a nutribullet cup!) and then speed up afterwards.
3. TODAY’S VIDEOS
1️⃣ My backbends: warm up and in between are speedy, wheel and forearm wheel real-time
2️⃣ 25 minutes of the 45 or so that before that: I got a phone call after my bridge pose and it cut the rest of my practice 🙄 so the wheel/forearm wheel in the first video are the second batch I did
3️⃣ Pike press raise and lower and 3min hold in headstand. All three of these were also a good test of whether my core was ready for backbends
4️⃣ A wobbly section of my main practice: it’s practice, not perfection. And I fall out of poses and need a minute to re centre myself a lot these days!
5️⃣ Tadasana (+ Zeppelin being cute): such a great way to activate every muscle in the body, including the core at the start of your practice

People get fascinated when they find out I’m an identical twin.
One question I get asked a lot is “what’s it like to be a twin?” - to which I always answer “well what’s it like not being a twin?” I don’t really know how to answer that, because I don’t know what it’s like to not have a twin.
She is always there and always has been there ! The girl just won’t leave me alone haha. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even though we argue like any sisters/siblings do, I never have and never will complain about being a twin, there is definitely a weird sense of pride being a twin. Also it’s like being assigned a best friend at birth and then never having to look for one. Winning! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
