The call of places yet to be explored is always out there. It's up to you to answer to whatever it is that makes your heart beat a little faster. To go out of your doorstep and let your feet take you places. And to walk home with a smile on your face, knowing that by the end of the day, the world has gotten a little bit smaller. ✨
Hike 36/52. I’m not going to make the year mark for 52 hikes this year, but I’m gonna keep going till I get it done. Life happens, but we keep going. It was so good to see familiar faces and meeting some new chicks. It was a good day, despite falling, tripping and leaving my phone all day in the car. No phone no problem.

Thank you so much to the amazing, @facepermanentmakeup, aka, Denise for giving my eyebrows life! I can’t believe how natural they look!
You know, when you’re a little 3 year old, you don’t think about the dangers of running into door hinges and getting stitches and ruining your eyebrow, lol. 🤷🏼♀️
“You know that moment first thing in the morning and you go outside, and you are flooded with the senses of life, birds singing, fresh air, sunbeams, nature in all her glory...it’s just so sacred. It’s the life-bird and she’s singing the sweetest song, she’s reminding us what it is to be alive. Don’t forget her song today. Don’t get so busy you can’t hear it anymore. Feeling alive today, make that your focus. Because we deserve to dance our days away. Because we deserve to feel alive.” ❤️❤️ -S.C Lourie
Perfect day for the annual hike for toys event! 🧸 🎁 🎅🏻 Who says it never snows in SoCal?! Always fun meeting up with old friends and making new ones! Special thanks to @peoplewhoadventure @hikeinlandempire @menwhoadventure for coordinating the event! Cheers! 🍻 ❄️
Wow! The Redding chapter is closed. I can’t even describe how this city and all the people in it changed my life in huge ways! I am beyond blessed and undeserving of this life!
I seem to have successfully confused just about everyone regarding what I’m doing with my life, so here’s the down low.
Over the next 4 months I will be traveling. Outside of short-week long excursions around the US, I will be spending a month in Michigan, then Honolulu to work on a farm for a month, followed by a 3 week tour of Europe.
After all that I will be driving to Alaska to be a resident for and undecided amount of time. Stoked to be a temporary Alaskan!! I want to be as transparent on social media as I possibly can, Instagram seems so glamorous and I want to be as honest as possible!
People are very curious about how I fund my life so I will tell you. I have saved my money for the last 3 years and decided to set aside $10,000 of my savings to travel for 4 months. To some people $10,000 may seem like a lot, to others it may seems like a little, but $10,000 goes fast when you are not employed so I look forward to sharing my dirtbag ways of travel with you all in hopes you can find the time/money to travel if you so choose!
Here we go!
Solo travel tip: don’t publicly share exactly where you are until after you leave.
So instead of talking about what I did today, I’m going to talk about lighthouses. Does anyone else really like lighthouses? My family has always liked lighthouses, my dad especially. I’ve come to really like lighthouses too. Their history, views from the top and the fact that each one is different. Plus, lighthouses are usually near a beach or coast, so that’s a definite plus.
We had such an EPIC day! Woke up super early and drove 4 and a half hours down to Umpqua Hot Springs. Had the place to ourselves for 2 hours! Then we hit up Toketee Falls on the way home. I love my friends who are always up for an adventure!
Sometimes the hard days get overwhelming and I start to feel the world closing in. So, I close my eyes and remember standing here. Then for a moment I can live in the peace I had here alone on this mountain top.
