D A Y O F F
Today was the first day in a long time that felt like a day off. Mainly because Trixie did her woke morning nap and half of her lunchtime nap in her cot! Oh it was magic.
She started the morning off with a bang by rolling over for the first time whilst I popped to the loo 🙈 of course she hasn’t done it again for the whole day. Then after falling asleep in my arms she went down in her cot. I could actually take my time getting dressed this morning instead of rushing around like a blue arsed fly 😂
I was super excited to pop on my g o r g e o u s new Babywearing Mama top from @chiara_babywearingmama (dm her to get yours!) it’s so soft and the glitter is so sparkly! It’s lush.
Trixie and I then spent the rest of the morning hard at work as I did some admin and she played on her play mat. Then it was time for lunch and again she went down in her cot no problems! I started getting worried, maybe I wasn’t going to get to babywear at all today?! Of course, this wasn’t true as she can’t manage a sleep cycle transition on her own yet during the day so she eagerly got into the wrap and passed out in minutes.
More playing and admin followed, then it was time to get Dexter. He requested his new fav programme PJ Masks when we got in whilst he ate his snack plate, before he then set up the stool so he could jump between all the sofas for half an hour 😂
Now they’re both in bed and Neil’s cooking tea whilst I sort through the MOUNTAIN of @bladeandrose leggings I had delivered today! Lots of these are pre-orders and the rest will be up on the website ASAP! ❤️⭐️🎉🌈🍀🦄💥
Arc De Triomphe, it is a triumph to reach here. Walked freaking 3.6km from Lourve Museum feeling quite upset cos a black guy approached me and tried to scam me with a 15€ entrance fee. I gave him a disgusted NO. I’m upset that he even tried. Did I look that gullible. Just hours before chatted with @faanana and got tips from her on Paris which was really what actually happened. Wakenabeb!!
So if this monument represent triumph for the Parisians, it certainly signifies another victory for me. I completed 28k steps and 16km walk today! A mean feat for someone pushing 40, nursing a cold, cough and fever! 🇫🇷
...Istanbul is one of those truly unique places. With fifteen million residents fiercely divided by culture, politics, religion and the ideals of two different continents, it’s hard not get swept up in the ever-changing momentum of the city. This tea seller found himself a rare moment of calm on the blustery seafront of the Kartal district.
