October is breast cancer awareness, and if you had forgotten all year long, this is a reminder to check in with your primary care doctor and do your annual wellness exams. Mammograms should be completed regularly, so it is possible to determine if there are changes in breast tissue, indicating breast cancer or other potentially harmful conditions.
Furthermore, The American Cancer Society recommends clinical breast exams every three years for women between 20 and 40, and annually for women 40 and older. Starting at age 45, healthy women should have yearly mammograms.
Do you have relatives that have been affected by breast cancer? Tell your doctor. Make a choice and live in a healthy body!
Did you know that October is National Pet Wellness Month? Because dogs and cats age five to seven times faster than people, an annual visit to the vet is equivalent to seeing your physician or dentist every five to seven years. So schedule your pet’s 6 month wellness exam today! Twice a year for life! #october#nationalpetwellnessmonth#wellnessexam#healthydog#healthycat
