In the fall and winter months I CRAVE spice. It warms me from within (and I like to think it helps keep the cold weather munchies at bay). Whether it’s a warm bowl of Mexican Lentil Stew, a Thai Curry Stir Fry, or a hearty bowl of 3 Bean Chili, spices can make any dish more satisfying. They also have plenty of antioxidants and minerals, so don’t fear spices!
This week I’ve been craving Korean inspired dishes. This little salad concoction is a little tribute to @mommytang and her hilariously entertaining Mukbangs ✌🏻

It’s the holiday season and it’s coming at you real fast! 😳 It can feel overwhelming. We have so many additional tasks to fit in to our already busy lives and it’s so easy to ramp up and feel stressed out this time of year. We sometimes don’t have enough time to fit in our stress management tools like yoga or meditation or just to sit and do nothing and rest, which is what we really need during these stressful times. So what can we do to keep our calm state...or at least a fairly calm state in the midst of the chaos? ❄️

Wherever you are right now. Whether it’s in a grocery store, line ups during holiday shopping, driving to the next location you had to be 20 minutes ago...reading this post, just pause. Take a deep breath in...and a long deep breath out. Focus on that beautiful breath of yours and feel your aliveness, the energy that is you. You can start to notice a slight vibration in your arms or legs when you’re still. Know that you’re here, just here. And for a split second drop everything in your mind, like dropping some heavy luggage. Then smile. A gentle smile. ❄️
You can do that anywhere and anytime. You are in control of that at least. Out of all the things we have no control over you always have a centre you can connect to. And it takes a tiny amount of time and it’s very powerful. And you can go there as many times as you like. ❤️❤️❤️
Caring for yourself is also caring for your children.
A mothers love knows no limits.
So the moment you get a glimpse of what self-love actually feels like. You chase it.
Let there be no more days you just ”feel too ugly” to leave the house. WOW JUST WOW have I felt that way. Like as if I wasn't good enough today as opposed to yesterday.
No matter what let your brilliance shine through. It has nothing to do with how perfect you look that day. Or any other day.
How many times did you go to an event feeling less than because you didn't feel like every hair strand manipulated in your favor? Or your outfit wasn't ideal. Or your shoes hurt.
Well, let me tell you... I conformed to the standards of our society. You know chasing the perfect body, perfect long hair, perfect skinny body. Fake smiling. Being quiet and polite like a good little girl.
Ummm, I have bunyons from abusing myself for the approval of others. My body started screaming at me in the form of anxiety and depression. Depression for holding on to the past and anxiety for trying to control the future. 😳
Think about it..... Can you imagine what the world would look like if we embraced our uniqueness? Spoke our minds? Helped our children see a different world?

We tend to flex and extend, but don’t practice rotating and tilting as much as we should.

I’ve made some changes in my life lately & I feel so good about it. I began with what I was fueling my body with. I made the decision to start Arbonne to change the way I eat. I cut out gluten, dairy, coffee (which is huge for me)processed foods, & for the most part, alcohol (ok maybe I cheated a couple times) ooops 🙊but that’s ok!! Next month I’ll do better! The 30 days to heathy living program is not just a 30 day thing for me. I decided it’s a life style I’m going to live by. 🥗🥑🥦🍏At first I went through all the junk & cheese cravings & now I’m like I feel so much better, I don’t even want to put that crap in my body!
