Drop sets are a fantastic tool to increase total training volume and tonnage.
Used correctly, these additional sets, reps, and kilos will cause greater amounts of muscle growth due to the increased stimulus for change.
However, a great spin on the classic drop set is to add in an additional movement to help drive that volume up at the end of the drop set.
At the end of my lateral raises I like to throw in some front raises to drive tension into my medial and frontal deltoid.
Not only is this a great movement for developing more rounded shoulders, but also great for bullet proofing them against potential strain during movements such as the bench press or military press.
Try mixing in additional movements in your next drop sets to keep things interesting and have a great workout.

Fit Tip for Today: eat food you actually like! Tracking Macros is about having freedom from food guilt but still eating to reach your goals. So what does this mean? You may need to eat more veggies then you originally ate, but you will get too choose which veggies you get to eat. If you like carrots, eat carrots. If spinach tastes good to you, go wild!! Tracking macros most likely won’t give you the freedom to eat five chocolate bars a day and you won’t be able to live off pizza and ice cream, but you can eat these foods in moderation! If eating pizza and ice cream helps you to keep your sanity on a healthy diet, there may be some macro friendly options you can try, or you may even be able to fit a few slices from your favorite pizza joint every once in a while.
For me, I hate broccoli. Like seriously I have never eaten broccoli in any way that I thought”mmmm yum! So glad I’m eattting this!!” Yeah no. When I’m tracking my macros, I don’t have to eat broccoli and chicken and drink three protein drinks a day. *
Lately, I have been having a huge food aversion to most meat, especially chicken. Everything about it just grosses me out lately, so I haven’t been eating it. In order to hit my protein macros, I’ve been drinking a vegan protein drink (which I don’t normally do because I prefer to get my macros from foods and not liquids)and I have been eating more legumes and quinoa. I also recently tried Amy’s brand vegan burgers and let me tell you 👍🏻👍🏻😻💥. So good! All this to say, don’t be afraid to reach your macros by eating food that actually tastes good to you. I recommend eating lots of whole, minimally processed Foods that you enjoy and, If you choose, fit in a couple treats that you can’t live without. •
Finally, sometimes there will be meals you just can’t track, like if I was eating this burger 🤤🤤🤤👅. When you are faced with these situations, don’t worry about it. Keep these times to a minimum, but when they happen, enjoy yourself and move on. Try to keep your other meals throughout the day light (a protein drink for your other meal or another lean in fat and high in protein option is always a good choice)

So much of what we do in life has us bent over with closed off shoulders both in training and in general life. This is a great way to attempt to balance that out.
If you have trouble with pain or discomfort in the front of your shoulders after squatting this should be high on your list, can be done between sets.

So first exercise ✔
1⃣ Side Leg Press - so ladies this one is so effective for “hip dips” for anyone complaining about those! They really target the hips and the under butt!
2⃣ Single Leg Glute Bridge (with resistance band) - Good exercises for activating the muscles and will keep your glutes tight.
3⃣ Cable Machine (on floor side kicks - donkey kick) - Really good for targeting various angles of the gluteus muscles, helping with a rounder rear.
4⃣ Cable Machine (kick backs/donkey kick) - I love this one because you can really feel the muscles working. Be sure to HOLD at the top of the rep for a sec
5⃣ Squat Rack (half squat) - Tired legs? Give them a break as this one works majority glutes alone.
