Working on my Snatch-grip rows today, which are definitely something different for me.
Bench 3x1 @ RPE 9, then 3x3 @ 100lbs backdown sets.
Close-grip Bench 3x8 @ 90lbs.
Snatch-grip rows 4x8 @ 95.
Abs: 3x10 hanging leg raises.
I rushed through my close-grip bench and didn’t keep my elbows tucked very well. Room for improvement on those! Next time!
PR, INJURY AND CRYING IN THE GYM!?!

Today I was feeling super motivated so I took my warm ups even more serious than usual and made sure I felt everything I was supposed to be feeling. I knew it was going to be a big squat day. I then struggled to put on @xavilus small knee sleeves but finally managed after 15 minutes (however uncomfortable) I worked up to this for a top set supposed to be @8 but the strength was really there although everything felt super heavy but was flying. Everything is good through 4 reps and I know I have this in the bag. (Check that that cheeky smile) This is my first time squatting over 400 since the sciatica had really flared up after nationals. I was fucking thrilled...until that fifth rep. I felt a lil pop kind of feeling in my mid quad but hoped it was okay and put on a happy face for the camera although not my usual hyped self.
Hoped it would be okay dropped down for back offs and after one rep I had to rack it. This is the part no one likes to talk about after that rep I sat down and cried right there in the gym. I had finally built back up and was able to squat pain free and actually hit a PR and for just another injury to knock me back down just crushed me. It really fucking sucks. But after a brief minute or two I pulled myself together and got ready for bench. Thanks Xavier for being there for me and being an incredible friend. My only guess is maybe the tighter knee sleeves took my patella out of position? This is only my second time sizing down to from my XLs all the way to S. Any thoughts?

Quede muy conforme con mi sentadilla. Mi RM se encontraba pocos dias atras en 170 kilos, y decidi aventurarme en el tercer intento a tomar 180. No pude levantarlos. Ya saldran en una proxima oportunidad.
La banca fue ayer mi gran frustracion.
Planeaba ir 105/115/120. No fui capaz de levantar 115 kilos, que hace dos semanas atras, se movian solidamente. Le he dado mil vueltas, y creo que mi error estuvo en abordar la banca con mucha pasion, cuando se trata de un animal tecnico; en mi búsqueda de generar potencia, no coordine mi leg drive, desestabilice mi escapula, y perdi la verticalidad de los codos. No volvera a ocurrir.
Llegue al peso muerto con rabia, producto de lo anterior. Abri con unos rapidos 210, y pedi 230 para el siguiente. @pat.poblete_k
se asusto, y me dijo que mejor 225, pero a esa altura le dije tranquilamente "se rompe o se raja #$%£€#". Asi que fui, a los 230, y subieron solidos. Mas, antes de bloquear, la lesion del isquiotibial pego un grito.
Asi que decidi no ir al tercer intento, por precaución. Habian 240 en el cuerpo el domingo?...jamas lo sabremos.
Supere la media tonelada con mi total.

Powerlifting day and light strongman day. I’ve seen many Polish lifters who compete in soft equipped bench only meet, maybe I should give it a try. Today’s menu like always ZERO planning I go in and pick an exercise to max out. This time something fun. Start out with maxing on equipped benching. 100kg barbell plus 15kg chains. Then finished off my day with overhead press with log 37,5kg 5 sets of 12, increasing weight each week for the high volume pressing.
