Metal framed, pallet timber sign for @mitchskitchenuk swipe ⬅️ for progression!!
Ok so this is probably my favourite thing I have made. When Mitch asked me if I would make it, I knew I would use wood from old pallets. So I nicked one from Flip Out the next day and got started. •
Cut planks to size and then went around the edge with a chisel, so the metal would wrap around the edge nice and tight. •
Masked up the entire front face and got Mitch's logo up on a small projector and traced his logo. •
Carefully slicing all the lines with a scalpel then peeling out the part I wanted to spray.
Sprayed the area with 3 coats of @montanacans Coke Black then peeled the rest of the masking take off.
I applied some varnish which is drying as we speak and I couldn't be happier with the result!!

on the clear, sunlit days you sometimes discover previously unseen flaws that have gone unnoticed in your work...you sit and decide what course of action might remedy it...what “will do”...then every once in awhile the only course of action is to go back to the beginning and start over.
Haven't been at the studio in a while, I really miss it.
I'll be traveling and working on other projects for the next few weeks, but I can't wait to come back.
The other day I was talking to my cousin - who's only 17 - and he asked me what my idea of success was.
I didn't even have to think before I told him that if someday I find myself healthy and living there with my dog, being comfortable and able to paint, listen to music, play guitar and swim, occasionally traveling and going to concerts (maybe with someone I can share everything with), I'll be the happiest cat around.
He was baffled and told me he wanted a penthouse near Central Park and lots of money.
I laughed and told him his dream was just as good. 😊
