On Sunday, we’re starting a new series entitled Silence.
This four-week series addresses seasons when God seems silent or far away. What are Christians supposed to do during a dark night of the soul? When Christians feel far from God, we can survive periods of God’s silence by remembering his faithfulness in the past, relying on Jesus’s example, repenting for any sin that could be causing our separation, and rejoicing by faith in God’s promise to draw near to those who draw near to him.
“For it is not an enemy who taunts me— then I could bear it; it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me— then I could hide from him. But it is you, a man, my equal, my companion, my familiar friend. We used to take sweet counsel together; within God's house we walked in the throng.” Psalms 55:12-14 ESV Can you love someone who is trying to mess up your life, who you call a friend?
“In order to stay connected to God, you have to be willing to tell some people to shut-up... there negativity will only put you down, so look them in the eye and tell them to shut it...” — @teddycallen
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? (Romans 8:31) In this verse we are challenged to respond, what will be your response to being a heir? We are not slaves or servants, be are co-heirs, we are sons & daughters of the king!
On Sunday Pastor @teddycallen finished our series “No Condemnation” by looking at Romans 8:31-39. He preached about us living with the prospective of being more than a conqueror... he challenged us to understand that we are the architect of people’s future! How this week can you be an architect in someone’s life?
Happy Monday! Paul challenges his readers in Roman 8:17 by saying “Now if we are children, then we are heirs...” If... we are children of God, then we are heirs, sons & daughters of God, so STOP acting like a servant or slave!
Happy Friday! We hope you have the best day! How to build desire(one of the 7 Ds)? — You begin by wanting to want to do something. The way to change the spirit of your mind is to change the “I ought to” to “I want to
A major point of Sunday’s message was to remind us that when we are born again, we are adopted as sons and daughters into God’s family, transforming our identities and our lives forever. There ain’t no slaves or servants here, only sons & daughter, individuals with privilege!
Good Morning☀️! As we reminded you on Sunday, don’t forget to set up some time this week to wait & listen for the voice of God. Remember to remove all distractions... as you take the time to develop an ear that is able to hear the voice of God!
