We've been testing out some of the workouts from the @stevemillerfitx End of Year Challenge that will be available Sunday Morning. The Challenge starts Mon 11/19 and ends 12/31. That NYE workout is something crazy but if you stay Disciplined from day 1 it will be a Breeze 🙅🏿♂️ The SMFitX E.O.Y Challenge is $30 and will be available (11/18) in the Online Store in the product section. Like I said, big things are happening. I am so glad I took the leap last year and got my Spartan SGX Certification. Then, in March, stumbled into an Obstacle Workshop at @missionpeakspartans and met @nicolin5d. Fast forward to June when tragedy hit my family with my grandmother's passing, I decided that I needed to live my life the way that I want and do the things that bring joy to my heart. I reached out to Coach Ty at Mission Peak Spartans and he took a chance on me. Fast forward to today, where myself, @nicolin5d, and @kokiz2203 came together and put on a rough training session for @spartan newest corporate sponsor Rakuten in San Mateo and everybody gave it there all and crushed it. I wouldn't have it any other way. Life is pretty sweet right now. A word of advice to those who are struggling to find there path, "Do what you love." Hi I am Zeva. I work as a Creative Arts Therapist and I’m an artist. I use art for myself to express and make meaning of the world around me. I use different creative forms including; graphic art, mixed media/collage, resin, painting, watercolour, drawing, poetry and photography. Art revitalises me and brings me joy and a sense of pride. I love colours and texture. I’m inspired by so much. Often simple things like a pastel turquoise colour, the texture of a leaf, a rose petal, a person’s character or the sound of a bird chirping. Im drawn to beauty and am very curious, mindful and reflective.
I work as a therapist with children helping them to express their experiences and feelings offering a variety of materials. I also work multi modally which is a term used to describe not only visual arts but other creative expressions. Other forms include; music, drama, yoga, movement, poetry, sand play and dance. It brings me great satisfaction empowering others to understand their experience and enabling them to take steps for change in the future. In creating a safe, nurturing and respectful space, I honour the power of being seen and heard completely. In being present to another, I am able to offer them a healing space, where there is containment yet freedom tfor them to be themselves. I have been witness to the beautiful magic of Arts therapy, both professionally and personally, and I know it can be a gentle, restorative and transformative process.
Art making is fun and has become a daily ritual in my life and it makes room for soothing and self care. Squats this lovely freedom Friday @ hey dumbass you deadlifted two days ago 😹. Moar 8s unnecessarily hard cause I did not take the rest needed. Followed up with some pause squats with some suspect pauses and a belt.... breaking my 5 month streak lol. And speed squats that weren’t ass. Oh well pushing forward.
