“Last Dance”. That’s the song I think about when I see that picture that was taken right after the show, backstage @cuttingroomnyc last month.
“Last Dance”, #8 on my album has some trip-hop vibes. It’s the slowest and one of the darkest songs on the album. And for some reason, the favorite of many people. Some of you even told me it made you think of Massive Attack which I was very humbled to hear as they are a big influence to my creations.
I wrote that song thinking of those ends of relationships when we would do anything to share one last kiss, or more... One last dance. When we are not ready to give up. When we want to try one last time, even if we know it will hurt even more after.
We always think we are stronger than we are until we are hit by the kind of love that can make us feel very weak.
The bridge reveals the desire to start all over again: “This is our last chance to save us from a bad romance, let’s get wild with a new dance, like we were at first glance”... 🖤
Link in bio for @spotify but also on ALL streaming platforms (Severine, Last Dance). Hope you enjoy it :) Thanks so much @wondersoftibet for the shot 📷🙏 #LastDance#triphop#newalbum#backstage#aftershow#liveshow#nyc#Severine#songwriter
...as another chapter closes in my life, I realize how truly blessed I am to be able to turn my pain, my sadness, and all my emotions into music 🎵🎶. It's a gift that I will be forever grateful for 🎁🙏🏾👼🏾
Wherever you are, I wish you the best ❤🌹❤ and I want you to live for YOU, not for anyone else.
My wings have healed...its time for me to fly 🦇🌙
Thank you to all the amazing artists who support my music and the people who love what I do, I won't let any of you down. The journey as an indie artist isn't easy, but it is definitely an incredible experience, let's enjoy the ride together ⭐🔒⭐
There’s a lot to do 😅 sorting through a bunch of collaborative songs and fixing everything I feel isn’t up to snuff as of right now. Here’s the one I’m doing with the big homie @hak_ny on production. On my 5th vocal take so far, but better to take your time with something rather than rush and be unsatisfied.
Most of the collaborations will be part of joint projects or dropped as loosie singles, while a select few are going on the limited edition deluxe version of cranium.scatter., Vol. 2.
